I dropped the course after 2 weeks as I could not understand what the lecturer was talking about. I don't like when a lecturer mechanically reads the text instead of explaining the material with his own words. I could listen to an audiobook and get the same quality of teaching.
The course was great, but the quizzes were time-consuming as you had to watch extra videos or read extra articles in order to answer the questions. Anyway the videos were engaging.
The first lecture was perfect, the second one was great, the third one was ok, the fourth one was bearable, the fifth one was unbearable etc. Anyway, you should take it, overall it was not bad.
The lectures could be longer. There was not enough of real life examples. All those pop-ups distracted from the main lecture.
The course is quite difficult and assignments are challenging for a beginner. I could complete this course only because I completed Fundamentals of programming from University of Toronto. Otherwise I would be lost from the very first lecture. The lectures and explanations of the material could be clearer and deadlines could be less strict.
I am on the week 8 already and I can say that it is a very good course for beginners. Lectures are clear and assignments are just right. The only demerit is the lecturer does not value my time - he talks a lot, really a lot, and mostly not about finance. Also he talks really slowly, so I had to watch the videos at 2x speed.
This course should be taken only after Introduction of Finance from University of Michigan, otherwise you risk to understand nothing (if you don't have any Finance background). Otherwise it is a good course. Just not for complete beginners.
This course is just great. It would be perfect if it last a bit longer. I enjoyed every single lecture and assignment. The only problem was too much time were to be spent on peer grading.
I am not a native English speaker, but even for me the course was too easy. I've not learned anything new from the course.
The course is extremely easy. You could answer all the questions correctly without even watching the videos - that obvious they were. I've not learned anything from this course - just a waste of time.
