The course included a portions of a textbooks which i found valuable. I thought I knew a good amount about law but I ended up learning alot. Very direct course, read chapters, take short quiz, worth it.
Prior: 1\. Functional Programming Principles in Scala 2\. 8 years of Java professionally 3\. Computer Science Degree Compare: The lectures covered basic things however the projects went very in depth. I recommend just watching the lectures and doing the project if you are considering using Scala professionally. This is not the hardest course but it is new and has some bugs since this was the first offering. I imagine many dropped but some people did finish. Like: Course has a certificate, tries to cover real world problems, introduces actors, and introduces akka. I was able to learn from the both side of the practical and theory coin from my house. Dislike: One had to read unit test posted by others, read the FAQ, the assignment description, other peoples opinions and sleep/break when its not working. The time requirement was very high.
