Very interesting course. It's a broad approach about business strategy. Why firms do such things and what it brings in consequence. Use the matrix to predict actions and understand the game.
The course is great and I really liked it. Professor James is an engaging lecturer always asking questions and making the students think about possible answers (or situations) related to the discussed topics. Good examples of successful entrepreneurs and innovative business help us to have a broader view and assess eventual consequences, avoid risks or wrong decisions. My only suggestion is a peer-to-peer assignment evaluation in order to share user's knowledge, leverage the grades and allow self-evaluation after the feedback given/received.
It was a lot of fun and a great experience. One of the best courses I´ve taken so far. I recommend it. Understand your customer and avoid mistakes while developing your business. I hope there's a second (new) one!
Surely, one of the best courses on Coursera. Dan is a great professor and his sense of humour makes the course even more interesting. I enjoyed a lot the experience and I recommend it! The concepts depicted are really useful, it mix emotions and rationality. Congrats to Dan, Duke and the TAs involved in this amazing and engaging course.
It's a nice introduction to history of art, presented in chronological order. I liked the course but sometimes the pace is soo slooow. The grade is based on peer to peer assessments and the quizzes cover the video lectures. A lot of concepts and art movements explained, surely it's helpful for visual artists and graphic designers.
One of the best courses I've taken on Coursera. The professor knows a lot about Gamification and has a great sense of humour. The lectures are motivating and the content is well-developed: right pace, a lot of information, cases, etc. The workload is fair with P2P assessment, quizzes and a final exam. Great course, thanks for the opportunity!
A fast and nice reflective course, an introduction to social entrepreneurship. The professor is passionated about the subject and motivates the students to think about new ideas of business, which bring value to stakeholders. It could be harder and longer.
