A tremendously gifted teacher. Prof Zelikow gave me a new understanding of modern history. I would happily spend another 15 weeks delving deeper in the subject with him.
From what I can tell from reading the student comments, we all expected more about Richard, rather than a general (and quite basic) overview of his time. This course has tremendous potential, but as currently presented, a thin gruel indeed.
It's a good class--if you know *nothing* about the history of rock. If you're a music-loving baby boomer like me, there's nothing new.
I learned a great deal and enjoyed doing so. This class gives a wonderful overview of the subject. Dr Roth is a charismatic and engaging teacher.
Dr Francis is an engaging lecturer and a good communicator. This is definitely an intro class, for students with little or no knowledge of psychology.
Very very very basic and easy, but enjoyable nonetheless. He's an engaging teacher, and it was useful to review some concepts. The class level is not university though; perhaps high school or even middle school.
Prof Alcock is a natural on camera (are you listening Discovery Channel?) as well as being a accomplished scholar. I especially enjoyed the inclusion of so many of her colleagues, offering learners a broad introduction to the subject. I hope she offers a Part 2.
