I am still at lesson 2 of the course. I am currently organising study group with my colleagues. I found his emphasis on business model canvas is useful. I just created one and going to keep updating for my project. If you are interested, you can search content subtitles and see my notes at http://benkyoplayer.com/courses/10
This is the first non math/science related Coursera course I took, and I like the pair assignment reviews. The quizes were a bit too simple, as they were mostly asking the knowledge (unlike solving problems in most math/science/programming related course). You can search the content at http://benkyoplayer.com/courses/9
The first 30 % was a bit too basic, but then got really interesting. Even though the topic is about statistics, it has emphasise on probability a lot and the topic explaining about the conditional probability (aka Bayers rule) was the best part. This is also the first time for me to try out self paced course and I like the format better than the ones with deadlines.
NOTE: I only watched all videos, but did not do any assignments as I was taking other courses, so my review is purely based on the quality of videos. The instructor covered broad topic which gave me insight about what to know for starting startup companies. I liked that he brought lots of guest speakers to give us real experience. However he talked about some statistics around what kind of characteristics contributes to better success rate, but I didn't find these topics particulary useful.
I dropped out the course around week 4. This is partially because I was taking too many other course and had to drop out some of them. However, I didn't feel that I was digesting the content even though I was able to complete assignments (I guess that was because programming assignments are optional and you tend to skip anything optional). There was also one assignment which let users compete how many followers you can get and discuss the tactic achieving it. It's interesting idea, but I didn't like the concept, so I did not participate.
I had to drop out, partly because I joined the course in the middle and already missed deadline. I was also taking 3 other courses, so had to drop this one out. Having said that, the instructor is passionate about the subject, and I was able to digest the content until the half way through. I would take it again when I find more time (though new courses are keep popping out, so probably never have enough time ....
This course is good for someone who has programming experience like me. I enjoyed the programming assignment because that's the best way to learn. I prefer this shorter length (4 weeks) rather than longer length so that I can keep the motivation. I thought about recommending to my scientist friend, but probably it's a bit too difficult as the instructor often used technical jurgons which he took granted that students know. Hence -1. If you are interested in what kind of content is taught, I created a website to search captions, so feel free to use as a reference. http://benkyoplayer.com/courses/4
