This is an excellent course, very clear presentation, very experienced lecturer. You will need knowledge of basic programming (Python). Some knowledge of R and SQL might help too.
The world really needs a good course on Linux. Unfortunately this is not it. The course starts well - it's really cool to see Linux presented professionally. But towards the end it is like whoever wrote the course could not be bothered with it any more. Seriously - they they did not even add audio to the later videos. If you want a good introduction to slightly more advanced topics like shell scripting your time would be better spent working with other resources.
An excellent course. Lectures are detailed yet concise, focused on interesting case studies, combined with plenty of practical exercises to make sure you have understood the material presented. However it's not for beginners - take an basic introductory statistics / R course first before this one.
