I learned a lot in this course. The instructor has an engaging style and it's obvious that he has a LOT of hands-on experience developing websites. I thought I knew CSS until I took this course, realizing then that'd I'd barely scratched the surface. Note: I realized the last review I did was anonymous, which was unintentional, I much prefer to use my name. Moderator: Please delete the other one and keep this one.

Perhaps like cod liver oil, learning about Git is good for you. Actually, it's essential. This instructor presented the material in an efficient, no nonsense style, perfectly teaching enough about Git that I can get in and start using it. Also, learning Git first made Github more intuitive to learn.

I really like this instructor's methodical, assume nothing style of teaching. I was just exploring Ruby a bit and then was an outstanding introduction.

I've wondered for a while what AJAX meant even though I've often nodded my head when I've head the term. Now I actually know something about what it means thanks to this course. Outstanding instructor!

After completing the Front End Development Track I was a bit confused about what to do next. A friend encouraged me to learn about NodeJS so I did. I had no idea that you could do so much with JavaScript. I've barely scratched the surface. This instructor is very enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the topic. Though I know only a tiny bit of Node, it's enough to realize that it really is awesome.

This course helped me get started learning a very complex topic in a short amount of time, part of which is learning how to learn and solve problems. This instructor not only teaches you the subject, he also shows you how you can continue to learn and solve problems using documentation. It's in Andrew Chalkley's courses that I've learned what I think is a fundamental lesson: Developers don't memorize everything but they know where to go for accurate information needed to solve the problem at hand, frequently the official documentation. It's not necessary to stare at a problem for hours or rely on your memory, let the documentation be your memory.

I had some knowledge of HTML and CSS before I started the course but this course helped me understand how it fits together and realize I have a lot more to learn. I really liked the instructor's friendly teaching style.

I work in a non-developer role in the tech industry but have never learned to code but then I had an an epiphany that my tech knowledge would always be superficial if I didn't learn. Expecting to have to flog myself to learn programming, I started the JavaScript course. It turns out that coding is outrageously fun. I credit this course and instructor for inspiring me to want to keep learning well beyond my original plan.

When I started this course, I was immediately drawn in by the enthusiasm of the instructor. It's much easier to learn from someone who has passion for the subject they're teaching.
