The good stuff * I expected to learn Statistics in a formal way, and the I got that. * The course give me deep sense of the use of statistics - through the teasers and case studies -, which was a fantastic experience by all means. * The teaching assistant was really helpful and always there to help students. One issue that I personally faced: * I really hoped for more solved examples. Sometimes after a lecture, I do feel I got the concept, but I need to practice on solved examples. Going directly to the homework and be graded on it gave me some bad feelings near the end of the course. I hope this issue will be resolved in upcoming versions of the course. In general, I recommend this course for anyone welling to learn statistics in an effective way.
I really wanted to learn about what's logic, what is proof. I had no idea whatsoever about logic or First Order Language. This course was the perfect entry to all of this, and even more. I felt my ideas - even in normal life situations - became more organized, more meaningful. Thank you very much for this opportunity.
I needed to build my statistics background from scratch. I took this course among several other courses in Statistics and data science. The good things are: \- I like the direct link between the concepts and the applications. Also the concepts aren't advanced, but it truly gave me a very different understanding of statistics in general. On the bad things: \- I really wished the course to be more deeper in the different concepts of statistics. \- The slides are really messy, can't be used for reading or as a reference.
