Very good course, it gives an interesting and thorough (as much as possible for a one semester course in global history anyway) view of recent history. Truly fascinating and well prepared.
The course is difficult, but it is top notch quality, and it really delivers the learning possibility of a real top university course. If you are reallly interested in algorithms and willing to work hard to learn it, this is the perfect opportunity.
Very good course, clearly well thought out and executed. One of the best online courses I had, and it really helped me learn to program.
The main problem was the length of the lectures. Coursera courses are supposed to be equivalent to an university course, and I never saw an university course with 20 minutes of lecture per week (to be fair, it was very uneven, some weeks it was almost 1 hour of lectures, but there were weeks with 10-20 minutes only). And what amazes me the most about that is that the weeks were about famous topics of philosphy. Seriously you only have 10 minutes of things to talk about about knowledge?
