First MOOC I took, and the lectures and guests were fun. I enjoyed the class, got up to date on where astronomy is today. This encouraged me to seek out other online classes.
The lectures were good, the biggest challenge were the quizzes. Sometimes it was not obvious how to enter the answer so that the system could recognize it. In particular, there was an inability to put numbers in scientific notation, leading to having to carefully count digits. Still, learned a lot and relearned how to work some of the basic problems.
I enjoy this class enough that I came back a second time to get some of the new data from recent missions. This is just a great primer on what we know and how we know our our solar system. Should be required for secondary science teachers and informal educators (museums, planetariums).
