Indeed an amazing course for everyone interested in learning Statistics.
To be honest, the course is not difficult at all, but it remains unclear to me what kind of people it's addressed to. While the course itself is rather simple and straightforward for someone who's familiarized with the topics covered (e.g. a biologist, myself), it deals with very specific uses of Bioinformatic tools, which are treated in a very shallow fashion in order to make them available to the general public. However, since the subject is so specific that it will be useful only for people who are into these topics, and who would expect a deeper insight into Bioinformatic tools, for sure.
The course was reasonably difficult for people -like me- with little to no knowledge on programming in general and R language in particular. The lectures covered many interesting topics in a fair depth given the short time of the course, though there was a difference in level from lectures to assignments, which included skills not necessarily provided within the lectures, and a lot of extra work searching for the appropriate functions you need to use is required if you never used R before. My suggestion is to join one of the many study groups that are formed every time, which in my experience turned out to be quite helpful.
