Constantly amazed at the quality of tutorials guys. It makes it super fun and engaging. The real-time compiler to Javascript was a huge help and +1 for cool factor. Whenever I need a break from what I'm working on, I'll whip through a tutorial on CodeSchool. Feels more like a video game than school. :-)

Awesome CoffeeScript course ... can't wait to convert some of my ugly JavaScript into CoffeeScript. The courses on code school just get better.

I've dabbled in coffeescript before, but "A sip of coffeescript" really helped take me to the next level. I love that they tied it in to some of the previous codeschool jQuery courses as it really helped with the "real-world" aspect of Coffeescript implementation. Fantastically done course, these just keep getting better and better! Bravo Codeschool.

I couldn't think of an appropriate title for this review. It's a little late now, but maybe I went too front-heavy with the bacon-wrapped enchiladas, I don't know. What I DO know, though, is that this course is a keeper. Fun Fact: I went to work the next day and fired off 50 lines of CoffeeScript code to set up a feature that took almost 200 lines of JS on one of our other sites. Double-whammy: I had literally never written a line of JS code prior to running through the jQuery Air course 4 days prior. That's about as high an endorsement as I can think of for any training/tutorial/course.

These days i'm working on a project that has a lot of CoffeeScript, and i still learned a few new things that made this course worth the money. So if you're not already into CoffeeScript right now, it's a pretty good introduction to it. If you already know JavaScript, you'll be up to speed after this course and i'm pretty sure you'll be able to tackle your first CoffeeScript project. The only reason i did not give five stars is because there is an error in the last question of level 5, which is not dramatic since you can still get the correct answer by taking 3 hints. I did the whole course in about 2 hours. And I liked it.

With the Coffeescript course it really feels like you've learned something with every previous code school-programme you've made, because this one really hit a sweet spot and made me finally make the transition. The challenges were excellent with just the perfect difficulty, and the videos were very informative and not too bloated with jokes to be annoying. Good job! Can't wait for Backbone...

It was nice but a bit too easy and too short. I would expect a bit more for 55$ Anyway the lessons were fun and the video well done (you should make more small pauses)

This course was really great in supplementing many of the books available on the web. Specifically, providing some more practical experience of implementing coffescript with jquery for web apps. Enjoyed the course, and hopefully code school will produce a more advanced course soon.

This was a great way to start into Coffeescript. In fact I really think code school has a market advantage with the concept tests along the way. Awesome.

If you're one of those people that likes to learn by doing then all of the code school courses are for you. And if you want to get into CoffeeScript, this is the perfect place for a solid intro topped off by some advanced techniques. Greg goes into lots of detail and puts in a lot of effort to not only show you examples, but explain how they work as well as some common errors you may come across and how to solve them. The course is short and sweet but gives you exactly what you need to start using CoffeeScript in your own projects right away. And when you're done, the slides and videos are an excellent resource.

A superb course. My only complaint is that you want to jump into a Coffeescript2 course right away!

Courses are getting better and better. I think that finally lenght of level- preview videos is ok. Good emphasis on course pdf at the begining not to overload content in video. In other courses some videos are too long and it can get quite boring. Anyway first course I've finished at once without any breaks. Waiting for more! Great job.

This course is the perfect quick primer for getting into CoffeeScript. However, it does feel a bit on the short side - both in terms of the screencasts and the code challenges when compared to some of the other terrific CodeSchool courses. Having already used CoffeeScript a bit in Rails, I was expecting to get a bit more practice --- maybe on some more of the topics in the CoffeeScript Cookbook.

Great intro into CoffeeScript. As always, CodeSchool has the best learning-by- trying tools out there. Highly recommended, if you are looking into switching to CoffeeScript.
