Loved the course! It was a little buggy at times, but usually if I did a hard refresh on the page I was able to get through it. A number of lessons would ask me to do something and the trigger wouldn't happen. Maybe it's because I was initiating dev-tools via right-click, inspect element, instead of through the menu.

All I really want to say is that this course is really simple, easy to follow and that it really covers everything that matters in Dev Tools! Awesome for beginners and also nice for experienced developers.

The exercises were buggy now and then, but the content itself is informative. Recommended to all web developers.

This was a compelling learning experience thanks to Gregg's engaging presentation skills. The mixture of short video clips with sample code walk- throughs and hands-on challenges with integrated feedback made this one of the best learning delivery platforms I've used, if not the best. I would highly recommend this course to anyone interested in learning about DevTools.

It was an engaging and enjoyable way to touch the majority of the tools available. I feel confident I can build on the knowledge gained through Discover DevTools and continue learning more through more traditional trial and error. Song was catchy too...

Chrome is a great browser, more importantly, as a developer, its developer tools offer a great range of trouble shooting options. This course has a good range of topics and a decent depth to each topic. I thought I was very familiar with Chrome's DevTools and found that there was plenty more to learn. Great course!

I found this course to be very helpful, especially the profiling section. I found, however, that I was often being forced to reload the page because of bugs in the course software. Aside from the bugs I would highly recommend this course.

Just the right mix of video and interactive exercises - with the exception of one or two times where my code wasn't precise enough to get me to the next step on an walk through, it was awesome. I love the way it gives you that immediate feedback as you code.\ !

I was already familiar with similar tool called firebug. I used it to change the DOM, CSS and not long ago started poorly using JS console. I wrote console.log in the code and then watched what it will give me in the console. That's all I used. From your tour I learned a lot more methods to work with console and not only. I learned what CPU Profiler and Timeline tabs shows, which are new cool powerful features for me. For example function that expands minified scripts is awsome. Thank you very much. And I am sorry for my English)

Great introduction to Chrome Dev Tools. I use this tool everyday and this path just improved my skills overall. I would wish for a part 2 with more indepth looks at profiling and the last subjects. Worth for anyone that uses Google Chrome.

This course was well worth the time for me, as I often have to dig into Web development - and having a good grasp of the Chrome DevTools will pay me back many times over in the coming years, I have no doubt. One quibble is that the course should warn participants that they may need to close DevTools and open it again for each exercise; in retrospect, that seems obvious, but when you're trying to work through exercise 1-4 in order and there's no logical reason that completing exercise 1 should prevent exercise 2 from being able to be completed, you can burn more time than necessary trying to figure out what _you_ did wrong. That quibble is the reason I docked 1 point from the course rating. Otherwise, it was great!

A great course. I've been using Chrome's Dev Tools daily for personal and professional use for over a year and even in the areas that I use it for I've found out new things I wasn't aware of. The post-video tests are challenging. You're not just repeating the same steps they walk you through in the video, but instead problem solving with the new information to complete the tasks. The tasks are simple and quick, but do a great job of reinforcing the content. Just wish the rest of Code School was accessible for free.

Been surprised how powerful WD tools are and learned some valuable information about web-performance and memory allocation of web apps. This course will be a must-do for my future Webdev people. Highly recommended.

Really great course that walked through a majority of the features of the Google Chrome DevTools, including Elements, Resources, Debugging / Breakpoints, Network, Profiles, and Timeline. It would've been great to have walked through the remaining areas as well, but this covered a majority of the major reasons to use DevTools in your development (debugging css issues, html issues, resource loading, and javascript issues). I am having my team go through the tutorial as well as a refresher on it. Great stuff, keep them coming!

Greg is great as usual. Good tips, but not complete coverage and that's ok. This course really falls short because it doesn't let you learn from your mistakes or gaps in understanding. It's hard to tell if I got some challenges wrong or if they are simply busted. I think it was a little bit of both, honestly. After a minute or so of struggling with getting something to work (for whichever reason) you simply get a pass to the next step and you don't get an answer or shown the correct solution. I wouldn't be a codeschool student if all the courses were like this.

Fairly regularly, it wouldn't recognize that I took an action that it told me to take. So I had to wait until it let me skip that step.

Provided terrific information, starting with no expectations of previous knowledge of the DevTools, and went through advanced scenarios. Would strongly recommend!

Très bon tutorial, j'ai appris beaucoup de choses ! Par contre, le flux des videos était haché, rendant parfois inconfortable la leçon. Cependant, bravo pour les explications. Xavier (From Lyon)

I think is a required course for all the web developers. Before the course I don't know the powerful of the Chrome Developer tools. I relegate the Firefox Firebug to get my love Chrome Dev Tools. I think the course is good for it content and the explaining of all chapters.

There's no way you could complain you have no time for this course. Even the longest of the pithy video segments will conclude before your morning coffee has brewed. Don't skip the challenges--they're highly relevant, schooling your fingers into how to use the DevTools. The engineering complexity of creating the exercises and the testing routines becomes obvious in a couple of places, where a completed action goes unnoticed and the course can't advance. In that case, just refresh the browser page and do the challenge again, which costs you only a moment or two.
