Part refresher course and some new learning. I had done some JavaScript programming years ago, so some of this was just a refresher for me. But I did learn some new things in Part 2. I definitely felt like Part 2 was even more informative and challenging than Part 1. And this left me looking forward to what I could learn in Part 3.

Hi, my name is Fernanda, and I'm from Brazil (so I apologize in advance for my english...) I liked a lot the course, I knew nothing about javascript and now I can understand an entire code :D It is very detailed and very complete. The things I think that could be better: -the error messages about the code; -you could give us the answers after several submits with error, or more tips, like the Objective-C or CSS course, because sometimes is just a little detail and I almost got crazy with some challenges. But the forum helped a lot in these cases. Thank you so much, I'm so happy I did the course! :D Fernanda Maia

Great Course / Some difficult wording. This course was great, however I consistently sacrificed points when the wording to the questions or methods brought up seemed were a bit confusing. The console answer for the multiplyThree question is one that definitely stands out.

Concise and funny way to learn. This course has been very interesting, funny and concise. I appreciated the exposition and I recommend it to all programmers at their early stages who want to get a better understanding of JavaScript.

Codeschool is great, I came here knowing next to nothing about Javascript and now I feel like I'm starting to fully understand the language basics, plus it gives you a great introduction to programming. Great job guys!

I thought the course was extremely helpful. I wish there would have been a few more challenges such as in the second array section, or maybe some bonus challenges to try harder concepts but over all it was excellent!

I definitely learned a lot from this tutorial, especially in regards to writing JavaScript from scratch and understanding the fundamentals of loops. I've been going through code school's JavaScript instruction after completing the JavaScript course at codecademy. I'm really glad that I did my first pass with codecademy to get familiar. I don't think I would have been able to make it through codeschool otherwise. Thanks a lot!

Nicely Done! Learned a lot from this course and believe I'm grasping the basic fundamentals of JS much better now. Overall nice build up of info and good explanations. I did have a hard time in the beginning with the assignments, but after many times of practising (and not giving up), managed to really get the syntax's basic fundamentals. Thanks guys!

Great course! It was easy to follow and I learned a lot from it, so I was very happy. By the way, I love the design. The effort you guys have put into this site and the content involved is top notch and noteworthy, very impressive. I would recommend your courses to anyone that wants to learn the basics, and from the looks of the next courses, I'll be recommending them to anyone wanting to learn intermediate to advanced skills as well. Thanks for taking so much care with your product and paying attention to the details. I look forward to consuming as much of your content as possible.

Great refresher and exercises help solidify learning! I love the exercises. That is really what makes it sink in. It helps me remember the specific of the syntax when I actually code myself. I do not always get as much when I just read a book. This was a very enjoyable course and I look forward to taking the future courses as well. It has been helping me in my work.

Awesome course! The dude presenting is bad ass! From an improvement perspective, I am spending too much time trying to get strings exactly like your strings. I don't want to spend time on this type of crap. I want to spend time learning concepts. Overall great course!

I love the JavaScript Road-trip. I found that having firebug open in another window makes a huge difference because sometimes I can't figure out exactly what you are asking. If there was another console available on the page, that would help.....but other than that...GREAT WORK!

I have taken about 8 javascript courses (takes me a while). This is by the far the best. Clear, simple, good examples, and the practice projects are excellent. Only challenge i had with some of the practice projects is that I would have the right answer but it wouldn't accept if for pretty minor reasons.

This course hooked me. This was the perfect learning balance that I needed between theory and practice. I've used books and videos for coding in the past but something about this course was perfect for me. Code school makes me feel like coding is a possible career choice. Unfortunately, sometimes I had to purchase hints just so I knew what they were asking me to do. I'm assuming that's my lack of reading comprehension but might be frustrating if you also have word problem issues. Level 5.8 - Searching Arrays was a good lesson but needs to be reinforced with extra practices. I feel like this is an important concept that is used all the time but the level ends too quickly with only one practice. If nothing else, just help us be sure we are getting the syntax and all of the concepts right.

Great Learning Experience!! I have seen a lot of online sites like codeschool, but what sets codeschool apart is that, the person who designed this course has a clear thought process. He/She knew how best to put forward the concepts, so that the most inexperienced person will still find it much easy to grasp the concepts. This is value for money. And I am really looking forward to some more advanced concepts in codeschool. Keep up the good work!!!

I really like the JavaScript tutorials. JavaScript Roadtrip part 1 was the best video tutorial I've ever seen. Part 2 is more complex so it's harder to grasp but the quality is the same. And I usually base how hard it is to grasp by how well I do the problems without rewatching the videos. So rather than point out how good it is I'll mention where I had some trouble in understanding. Unsure exactly when to use return especially in if else statements. Complex problems can be somewhat vague in what they want from you. I'm not really sure what pop() displays when it returns the last cells contents. It would be nice to see what it gives you. In 5.8 Searching Arrays I wasn't sure why - 1 was needed "i == list.length - 1" it's tricky because I can't test the code out and play with it. But I imagine list.length itself would be the last item in the list array. So why wouldn't I want to check that array number too before doing list.push(name)... It might be a dumb question honestly but it would be easier to figure out on my own if I could try it out and see what it gave me. Because this is like a small detail I didn't understand why I would need to add - 1 there. Why would list.length - 1 be the last cell? These are just small details I had trouble with. And the main thing is I don't feel I have a way to play around with the code to understand the small things I have problems with. I'd like it if the way I submitted answers worked more like a compiler and I can see the results when I mess up or don't understand why I need to do certain things like - 1.
