I'm glad to finish this Rails 4 course, because it is so helpful and informative. We are working on a new project where we use Rails 4. Thanks for you, I can teach Rails 4 tricks for my colleagues. :)

I've watched as your excellent courses have gotten better and better. In particular, the generic user interface keeps improving in subtle ways that indicate a high level of responsiveness to your user community. At this point, I think the user interface is nearly perfect. It's hard for me to imagine how you can improve it further.

This is a very good course. I was able to catch up with rails 4 through this course. I have worked on rails 2.3 and rails 3 in the past and was thinking to go through rails 4 somehow. This course gave me a great start.

Thanks, Rails team. This course got me fully up to speed with what's new in Edge Rails. My favorite part of the course was getting some real knowledge about ActionController::Live. Although widespread support just isn't there yet, it's something I'm very excited about. Thanks guys!

Definitely the best course I've taken here. Explanations of theory behind new features are great and exactly as detailed as they should be not to bore user.

Overall a great overview of the new stuff in Rails 4. However, the course would really shine with more complete and complex problems.

This is more of a summary of changes to Rails 4 than a how-to Rails, so if you're new and learning be sure and follow the Ruby path. If not, this is a great course to get you up to speed on everything new in Rails 4 quickly. Highly recommend.

The course is great. Perfectly clear, workable challenges and just the right background info on topics not specific for rails 4, but necessary to understand the topic at hand. I enjoyed it a lot and frankly have no idea how to improve it. Unfortunately I had some performance issues with the video during this course, that was not so great (looks a lot like a bandwidth cap gone wrong when downloading and watching a certain video at the same time). Other than that, perfect!

The course is awesome! These are just few things which make it even better. - Could you add hot key to the submit button so user don't need to use mouse for it. - when using the Safari on my iPad mini, it don't show the keyboard Again, thank you for the course. Nice done! Hung Pham

Gregg and Carlos do an amazing job explaining how rails works under the hood so you can fully understand how your existing project might be affected. Some changes don't affect me. But some I also didn't even know about in Rails 3, so indirectly I learned a bit. Also the explanations and strategies described when using ETags and nested document caching are FANTASTIC. Lastly, the 2nd professor comes across really well in this episode. Usually the non-Greggs are ok (I find myself rewinding and referring to slides more). But Carlos was on par here and I didn't feel like I had to re-adjust to different professor at all. Great job!

Rails 4: Zombie Outlaws started out as a complete grab-bag of different changes that occur during the switch to Rails 4. There is no real organization of these different grab-bag items, but a lot of the deprecated features are important to know about, so it was helpful. If this is what you were looking for, then the first few lessons are definitely for you. However, I was really looking forward to the Rails 4 course because I was expecting it to introduce me to all of the new features in Rails 4, all while providing some more coverage of the advanced functionality of Rails. This doesn't really happen until the later lessons in the course when it gets its TurboLinks, ETags, and Fragment Caching. Also, it is worth noting that the many challenges are fairly elementary. The only ones that were troublesome were the ones with ambiguous question wording. Overall though, it was a very informative course despite it's grab-bag nature. It is de... I'm always amazed by the quality of your Ruby courses. The challenges were so accessible this time that I did them while downloading the next level video - and my Internet connection isn't slow. What I like most in your courses is that you guys don't have a monotonous speech. You're energetic and objective. I feel like I'm being taught by a non goofy version of Hal Leonard. *Jazz hands*

Once again, a quick but deep course on the new stuff coming with the new version of Rails. Great introduction to things like ETags and Fragment and Russian Doll Caching along the way. This is good stuff. Play the course!
