Those apps you see on your smartphone? The next one could be designed by you. Explore mobile web design with professor Jason VanLue, who is living proof that learning by doing really works, as he is a self-taught designer and is head of the design team at Code School and Envy Labs. In addition to online classes, you can also learn through screencasts, where industry experts such as Google and Pearson record what is happening on their computer screen, guiding you through the basics all the way to advanced techniques. Follow their skill “paths”, earn points, and win badges to become an expert in HTML, JavaScript, iOS, and more. Code School's knowledgeable professors, hands-on courses and interactive videos and challenges can help you master any field.

It doesn't matter if you have a full rotten brain, a half rotten brain or no brain at all. This si a great introductory course for the rails framework

I'm already familiar with most of the topics presented here, but especially the lessons/challenges on rails3.1 topics where quite interesting. And it is always great fun to listen to a talented teacher like gregg. Looking forward to the upcoming courses.

Just completed this course and it was fantastic. The product quality is amazing and they covered all of the details I was still a bit fuzzy on. Thank you!

Even knowing something is better (like Ruby language and Rails framework) we all resist to change. It's uncomfortable, you have to (sometimes) forget everything you know about something else and that sucks. Anyway, it has been a while since I wanted to learn Ruby and Rails but every time I started with some book, tutorial or screencast I got bored and quit before finishing it. With Rails for Zombies and now Rails for Zombies 2, I never got bored. The Codeschool's method is very engaging, fun and exciting. You really don't forget the stuff you've learned because besides the theoretical videos (which is not boring at all) you must complete various challenges in order to move on. It's worth mentioning that their "inspector robot" is very smart: you can write a code in many ways and as long as it produces the same - expected - result it'll be accepted. I totally recommend RFZ2 for those who want to learn how the awesome Rails framework -... Even knowing something is better (like Ruby language and Rails framework) we all resist to change. If you're not familiar with Ruby though, you might want to check Codeschool's 'Try Ruby' course first.

This is my second course in codeschool. This is really the best way to learn rails. I've to say that you are proving that e-learning can be even better than traditional learning.

I really enjoyed watching Rails for Zombies 2, even though I have been coding in Rails for sometime and know most of what's presented during the tutorial. Greg is excellent teacher and funny too! I'll be back for more Rails goodies on this site. Thanks to all at Code School for making this to happen! -Alex

Really well done. I'm happy that I was able to go through the entire course without any bugs. Minus one star for no extra credit tasks in challenges. I miss them.

After knowing a bit about Rails already, RFZ2 really helped me pinpoint a few things I should be working on, and greatly improved my game. The videos were enjoyable to watch, and the lessons were fun!
