This is one of the few free courses of CodeSchool. Nice course with interactive challenges and one video lecture in every unit.Course have 5 units. Starts from the beginning and covers a basic part of jQuery. You need to know HTML/CSS and javascript is recommended but no required.Challenges are n't very hard and the hint helps a lot. You can retake the course as many times as you want. This is one of the nicest course for jQuery i have found so far.

I had little JavaScript experience and no jquery experience at all when I took this course. I felt great taking the challenges and the fact that you actually have to think your way thru and not only repeat what you'd just been told is great for actually learning what you've been told. After I finished the course I sent and email to my co-workers recomending everyone to take it.

The quality of the try jQuery course was the reason for me to get started with a subscription. Of the courses i tried so far its the one who creates the greatest motivation for me, because you get transferable results so quick.

There were some issues with hometasks. Sometimes it say that your answer is correct, but when you try to use generated page it does not work correctly. But when you go to the next challenge you see exactly the same code and generated page works as expexted. I have seen it many times, for example on task with slideToggle. But in any case it is very very good course. You did extremely good job. Thank you

I thought the course was well thought out and relevant. I liked it well enough that I forwarded a link to the course to some coworkers so they could try it out as well. I was convinced to sign up for a code school membership because of the usefulness of the Try jQuery free trial.

Great course for beginners with excellent advice, but not a lot of leeway in different ways to solve problems. Don't get hung up, read a whole lot of jQuery docs and use the hint function liberally if you're stuck for more than 15-20 mins—it may be you or it may be the way they want you to think about the problem. Either way, keep moving.

The fact that you can review and repeat the lessons as many times as you want, and the hints, make it a very useful and concise course. I learned a LOT about selectors, jQuery methods, syntax, refactoring. I recommended a lot of my coworkers to review it. Thank you, keep them comming please.

I've been using jQuery for the past 3 years and decided to take the course for the sake of completeness. Despite my prior knowledge, I still found a few new things and overall gained a better understanding of what jQuery does under the hood. Whether you already use jQuery or are thinking of trying out the framework, I would strongly suggest you do this course!

I thoroughly enjoyed this course. It was pitched at just the right level for me. With the right mix of information and quizzes, I learned a lot; quickly. This course would have been worth paying for. So being able to do it for free is really amazing value.

This course was a serious improvement over jQuery Air (its predecessor). The video lessons were short enough, full of details and most important practical. Exams after each chapter were enough to test if you learned what you had to. One suggestion though: make small modifications to the tests so that the user has to think at least a little bit to solve them. At the end of the course it wasn't even necessary to read the test's details just do what was explained in the video in the exact same sequence.

This was the first code school class I've taken, although I've watched over shoulders while friends did a few others. I really enjoyed the set up and the lessons, although some of the error messages in the code clients were a little cryptic. I also came in with a fair amount of javascript library experience, so most of the concepts were really basic. I definitely learned a few things, but I think the more advanced class would have been a better fit for me. Thanks for doing these! I have a plethora of classes I want to take, but am waiting until I have a few weekends in a row free to pay for one month at a time.
