This course is incredible. For one who doesn't learn by listening to lectures but learns buy doing and figuring it out, this has been a key part of my learning. Thank you codeschool.

I had trouble reading Objective-C code. But after I finished the course, reading Objective-C was a lot more clear and it made sense. Thanks!

The class was an excellent introduction and I did learn a great deal of concepts. Would like to have a section for just all the definitions of the terms used such as variable, box, object, sending, messages, array, properties, methods, implementation, header, *, absolute variable etc. Just as a reference because I took a short break between some classes (2 weeks) and it turned out that I forgot a lot of the definitions of what's happening.

As an introductory course it fullfil completly the objective, I would like that this path included a more in depth Objective-C course. I haven't finished the other courses but it looks like they are focused in ios programming and not in the programming language itself. I would like to learn more in advanced language features. Anyway great work. Regards! RSA

It has been very easy to learn the basics of the objective-c while completing the game missions. I liked that the tasks to achieve was presented in form of small steps, in to a Big World. Some sort of pdf (for downloading) of the entire course would be nice to have after completing it. Thank you very much!

Very simple to follow, and fairly short ~3-4 hours. But its amazing how much you'll learn during 3-4 hrs.

Having "dabbled" in trying to learn Objective-C many many months ago, I thought I might hit the same walls as before. Rather than worrying about what I was doing in Xcode, the course allowed me to focus more on the thought and specifics on the actual code itself. I feel like I came away with a much better understanding of why things are done they way there are in Obj-C. Definitely worth it for those that are looking to branch out into iOS and Mac OS programming.

I really enjoyed this course. The format and the humor made it fun. Having to actually type in the code helps. I've read lots of programming books over the years, and just reading you think you're getting it all, but often a lot slps through your memory. I feel like I will learn faster and remember better with courses like this.

I had somewhat of a self-taught background in iOS and Objective-C but this course helped tremendously in cementing in what I had already learned in Objective-C (through various projects). It also helped a lot in clarifying some topics I was a little confused on. Overall, I would highly recommend this course whether you are new to iOS or already have some experience in Objective-C or iOS. You may learn something entirely new or gain a better understanding of topics used on a regular basis! (Also, the design is awesome! I loved Super Mario World!)

This is just incredible. I'm a programmer at a startup in SF, and use Node/Backbone at work. This was an insanely helpful tutorial for me to learn objective-c. Love it - keep up the great work!

This course was fun and I feel I have a better handle on Objective-C after completing it. The 8 bit arcade theme is fun and progressing to each different "world" was an added incentive to continue on.

I liked it a lot, especially the fun atmosphere, e.g. the Monthy Python jokes and the comic walker in the header bar. As an improvement I'd like to see an easy way to navigate back to earlier lessons, like at codeacademy.com for the times you get stuck and would like to look something up.

Hi, Code shoole I had just finished your Try Objecitve-c course. I am new for Objective-c. and this course helped me to learn lots of basic knowledges about Objective-C, and I am a Java developer. so it is not very hard for me. I want to thank you for your great work and your Code School site. This site is very useful and helpful for me to step in iOS world. I hope that you could update the Objective-C with some new features of the new versions. This could help some developers like me to know more about new version. Right now we have Xcode 5 and iOS7. And I hope in this course could have more teaching classes by real people just like your other courses, not just Mr. Higgie. BTW, I like him very much :)

I really liked this course and the way it's presented. Like every class on code school the intuitive approach of seeing something work and figuring out how it works after is a very good way to learn.

For someone like me who is totally switching careers, learning Objective-C was a very hard nut to crack and I had tried and failed a few times in the past but with Code school's intuitive way of teaching and a built in compiler it was a breeze. I am on my third review of Try Objective-C and each time I feel my grasp on the language is getting stronger. It is immensely empowering. Thank you Code school team. I am going to stick with guys for a very long time.

This is a perfect course for programmers who need to be introduced to Objective-C. The way it flows is effective and at the end you're left with a reasonable sense of what's 'objective' in C. Only problem with it, it stops too soon.

I found objective-c course very easy here on codeschool as compare to other websites. The system is efficiently designed and helped me in every ambiguous situation like 'show answer' feature helped me to move further during course. Overall nice and best for beginners. Suggestion: it would be more helpful if there is a feature of detailed glossary with examples available on screen during course on each stage of each level. Thankyou very much codeSchool!

An interesting course which made it fun and also a learning experience to learn objective-c. Very good work making a course to use objective-c in your website without installing xcode and anything for learning purposes.

Very good course – even if I do have prior Objective-C knowledge. Having to type and memorize a good deal more than in other courses (like the Stanford iOS course with Hegarty) really helps because you'll have to consult the documentation less often. Really well done course – thanks! :)

As an avid user in a scientific environment of other languages like FORTRAN and C++ I have a proficiency in programming already, this course has allowed me to pick up and understand some of the basic fundamental aspects of obj-C and will enable me to understand to a greater depth a coding course through iTunes U that I am currently working through. What an excellent resource!

I had experience some other languages such as java, c++, ruby so this course is amazing to understand the fundamentals and syntax of objective-c without reading hundred of pages. There wasn't any problem with both compiler and editor and that was really encouraging, I have passed every objectives really smoothly. Thank you Codeschool :)

This course is amazing and probably the best online programming course I have taken. This course would be better if you had course notes or course slides(like you did in Try jQuery).
