Very Engaging. Way better than all the other courses out there. The step by step learning process helps in better retention. Doing this course is equivalent to reading the mundane literature 4 or 5 times.I would recommend this course for all the analytics enthusiasts.

A nice introduction course if you want to start programming with R. Very basic, but I was surprised to know a couple of functions to plot contours and altitudes. Your time will be well spend if you choose to try R.

An excellent introduction to the R programming language. While Try R concentrates on the use of R as an interactive calculator, this introduces the core R syntax and many of the basic functions. If you are thinking about taking an R programming course work through Try R first, so you have the basics already in place.

I was looking for some introductory course on R, and this is a nice one to start with. Easy, engaging and interactive interface are a few pros. Although, I would have liked it more had they allowed tweaking with the code in the console.

Guys, I really enjoyed doing the tasks you provide. It really helped me to deal easily with the most hard first steps in learning new language. Your product is cool and I think people all over the world need it. I would suggest you only one thing: give us a bit more difficult tasks after several blocks in the course. I mean there is no need in explaining the trivial stuff with large paragraphs, 1-1.5 sentences would be enough) Instead, you may provide us with more materials and tasks to solve. Thank you very much! with respect from Russia.

I loved the R course. If I had one piece of feedback, it would be to add the ability to explore the code more. Often I was finding I didnt understand what code I was typing in. It would have helped me if I could have just ran that function a couple times with my own data to see what it does. I find that more helpful that reading some text describing what the function does.

I can't think of one single thing that would make a better interactive course, the format is truly exceptional. It shows Code School have some of the best usability experts in the world on board. I would rate this 5 if it included more advanced topics as well. I'm hoping for a follow-up!

Great job to the Code School folks who put this interactive tutorial together. I've used "intro to R" books and videos but this was my favorite. Whenever someone has a couple free hours and is serious about finally learning R for the first time, this tutorial is perfectly designed and fun to use.

Very nice and smooth transition into the R language. I have always been hearing about it, but never made the move to try it until now. I love technology, especially when it comes on to programming and the dynamics these languages have to offer. This is a very good addition to my programming toolkit; everyone should give it a try. Keep up the excellent work Code School!

I took a class on statistics my Junior year of college and did a little bit of R programming, and was looking for a refresher course. This particular set of lessons was a really good re-introduction to the language for me.

I have never heard of the R statistical language but found its tools quite useful for data extrapolation and plotting. I found the <\- way of setting variable to be a bit odd and not sure why a language would try to reinvent the wheel with this, but alas it is not my main programming language so perhaps I do not understand the full usefulness of said functionality. Otherwise, the course is designed and presented amazingly. Keep up the good work guys/gals!

Perfect tutorial, it's addictive. The only thing which is missing is a follow up. Like using Data frames with MySQL, More spatial features and integration with other projects.

Fantastic. Well-paced, and I love your GUI. I started off using platforms like Codecademy, but far prefer your guys' interface. Just wish that you had Python courses!

To whom it may concern. I signed up for an online course: Data analysis in R and had no previous experience in programming or the R programming language. Your tutorial was well balanced in topic variety and depth. It helped me not drop my class early on and gave me the confidence to keep going. I also know now how to look for and find help when needed. I was skeptical that I didn't have enough time to take your short course while i was also occupied with the online course but I was wrong. I'm glad I signed up for you short course. Thanks again Marc

The basic course interface and technique were innovative. It gave me the opportunity to apply what I'd learnt immediately without the use of any other software or workbook. The course could've been more in-depth but I was satisfied with what I got.

This was my first introduction to the R programming language. I already know and work with many other programming languages (Javascript, Java, C, C++, Python), and this was a great first step for anyone learning a new language. It is a step by step introduction to the functionality along with an overview of what you are capable of doing in R. Really enjoyed going through it.

The course offered a decent, but basic, into to R's data structures and data manipulation. There's a lot more to even R's basics that we could have covered. But for free, this was a nice intro.
