When you have a simple expression like: 6 × (5 + 3), what's the answer? 33 or 48? If you choose 33, you are solidly wrong. If you choose 48--you are right on track. Those who chose 48 followed the systematic rule of BODMAS, hence they arrived at the right answer. Those who choose 33, didn't. This applies to entrepreneurs who want to secure or understand how to secure funding for their business. You don't just meet a random person and request for money--there are systematic or strategic steps you should take to get an optimum result. This course breaks down those steps for you.I've taken 2 courses offered by the University of Maryland on Coursera, and so far it's been awesome--I'm a better entrepreneur now. I recommend this course to any serious minded individual interested in starting a business or company.#Peace

The course content is so clear, complete and practicle. The instructors are very committed and interract with their students timely using various platform such as Facebook groups, threads formed by them as a way of linking up with the students. They also provide direct feedback to each specific student where necessary. They are so perfect and am proud of their service. Based on my experience, the course is relevant to my future career and future projects

The instructor looks like a serious old fella. He just basically read from the PPTs he has written. So it's actually perfectly OK to look at the PPTs directly anyways. The content looks more like a series of advice from an experienced startup guy than a coherent lecture series. It's actually decently valuable. Although he might not be your top-notch startup guru(somebody like Peter Thiel, for example), he at least was not talking total nonsense and you could benefit quite a bit from going through the whole course, especially considering similar resources for free are rare. Also, the reading list he gave is generally sound and good.
