I tried to hang in there until the end - but by week six, with one week to go - I've stopped-out. I've completed several MOOCs with a variety of providers, and this was the most disappointing so far. Watered down, narrow perspective and instructor-focused. The instructor even mentioned in a forum post he doesn't think that online learning is as effective as face-to-face, so I wonder why is he teaching a MOOC? Likely to try and sell copies of his book which he promotes in the course. Most disappointing.

It was the first MOOC I completed. I tried it, I found it interesting and I kept going, till the end. It was easy. And it gave me a new understanding of the importance of sports in society. I had no prior experience on the subject.

I Love sports and eargle waited for some sports course in MOOCS. I finally found it in coursera. I thoroughly enjoyed the course. Prof. Orin Stan explained the concepts brilliantly. This was the course I actually made notes and prepared. You learn so much from this course.

More about the professor's leftist world view than about sports. Very disappointing. The worst coursera offering I have experienced.
