Great example files to work with! I wish this course explained a little bit more about how the data in the Excel Model is stored within the file and whether I can create "stand alone" excel files with the complete data within the file.

The course was very informative. Most of the operations in the Excel was not known to me. I generally used to see the operations but never used it at all. Also, the theory part was helpful in understanding the working and the application of the software itself.

Overall very good, amazing support from TA. The content of the lectures was very well explained. great introduction to explore more - and for that there were also provided links to study further. I have to admit some of the lectures were a little bit chaotic lectures, also some questions in the quizzes were confusing.

Some more exercises could have been provided at the end of the course. Also, links to related courses can be provided at the end. Overall it was a great introduction to the level of data manipulation that can be done with excel and the course gets you really enthused about using these powerful features to solve actual business problems and implement these in real business scenarios.

It was a very nice course. Studying more about pivot tables and Excels formulas make our work very easy to do. Also I felt that the course was complete and will help all the students to learn very easily and rapidly. All the modules were good. Starting from the first module to the eighth module, all were having quizzes and labs which helps the student to grow very fast. The quizzes helps to boost the concepts and the labs helps to implement all the concepts learnt. Also the instructor was helping in the video and teaching very nicely. I will also appreciate the Discussions forum where all the queries of all the students are being solved. This was really a nice experience learning from the Microsoft course about Analyzing and Visualizing the Data with Excel. Thus we learnt here about analyzing and visualizing the data in a very nice manner.

Great content, instructor and provider. I have learnt a lot from this course. Excel shouldn't be underrated in any way because it is indeed powerful. Oh! I like that DAX stuff, the Cube Functions and the Treemap chart.

Multiple options within Excel that you normally do not interact with, but they could be very useful to manage data. I definitely recommend this course as an Introduction to DAX and other elements.

It is a fairly comprehensive course on data analysis using excel with step by step approach on how to build an interactive analytical model for a business/function with data drill down option as required. It also covers the visualization of data using excel and Power BI. Overall a great course for anybody who works with a lot of data in making effective data analysis and visualization.

This is a very good course for people who seek to gain skills in analyzing and visualizing large volume of data. You will discover the fun in working with pivot charts and data models. This is the second course in a series. If you do not have some knowledge of pivot tables and pivot charts, you may want to take the 'Introduction to Data Analysis' course before taking this one. The instructor is great.

Generally brilliant, but there were just a few places where the information presented or questions asked was either not clear or ordered appropriately. Though understandable, given the nature of MOOCs, this results in a harsh 14 out of 15 stars.

I have taken several courses through edX and I enjoy the format/interface. However, I found this course very difficult due to technical complications. This course seems to have been thrown together without working out the bugs. I do feel like I learned quite a bit about Excel but it was overshadowed by the technical difficulties and the feeling that I had to slog through this course. Also, I'm not sure there was a current assistant/TA for this course as I never received responses to my posts about the difficulties. As far as the instructor, his accent is an obstacle, and he is not a charismatic teacher, but, by the end of the course, I was used to it. They must have used voice to text for the transcripts of the course because those were filled with errors. The quizzes did not always match the material presented in the lectures and I found myself constantly consulting other resources to get through the course. Anyway, I think this cou... I loved this course! I work with demographic and assessment data rather than sales data but he concepts translated very well into applications beyond business. It did an excellent job structuring opportunities to "learn while doing." A few of the quiz questions along the way were confusing, but I found the community posts at the bottom of each section tremendously helpful. I started with a very basic knowledge of Excel but now feel very confident to move on to the next courses in the series.

it covers a lot of the important details one will find very useful while working with data. However it opens up new challenges by introducing other concept that are not easily identified as viable solution while working, such concept includes things like MDX language etc.

I think this is an excellent course. I took the course to help prepare me for Exam 70-779. I suspect for this purpose it might be a little light but is a good base. I struggled only on a few questions that I felt could be interpreted a few different ways. Overall an excellent user experience, nice tracking and reasonable additional learning links. One minor gripe would be there are a couple of videos with a computer voice, bearable though.
