I think this course give me basic knowledge to work with Power BI such as importing input data from sources (like excel, SQL databases, AccessDatabase, SAP HANA, ...), aggregation and visualization of data by many way we want

This is one of the courses that has helped me to know more about Power BI tool very fast. Power Bi has really became easy to use for me. The instructional videos are actually quite good, and while the transcripts are somewhat difficult to read, they are a great way to segment the video. Just one thing, the developers should consider people using Ubuntu also so that they can be able to access Power BI in their machines.

Let's get the complaints out of the way first: The current course content - both instructional videos and graded quizzes and assignments - is not updated to the latest version of Power BI Service or Desktop, and many of the mandatory questions are near impossible to answer by using the newest versions that you need to sign up for when progressing through the course. It feels like the course sets you up to fail in the graded assignments, which is made even more annoying when you have to pay 99USD to participate. Some of the assignment questions are either ambiguous and unclear, while others simply have below expected quality of grammar. Complaints over. The instructional videos are actually quite good, and while the transcripts are somewhat difficult to read, they are a great way to segment the video and find "that one time in the video" you are looking for. Personally I think it has been difficult to contact the course staff... Personally I think it has been difficult to contact the course staff, but seeing as I live in the GMT +1 time zone, it is probably nighttime/early morning in the USA whenever I am active, so this is understandable. Would not recommend anyone to sign up for the course for academic purposes until it is updated. If needed for a certification, the course is passable, but be aware of high levels of frustration due to the aforementioned outdated-ness.

The course is easy to follow, good intro and exercises will bring you fast up to speed. The content is slightly outdated though, as the tool changes/improves constantly, but still relevant and full of insight. Some videos were added to show new features, but old content was not removed, so you will find same topics to be explained twice in different places. Also some added videos were presented by a not native English speaker and hard to understand at first. The main presenter was excellent! Thanks to the course provider for allowing free access,I cannot imagine they charge for a content that is not up to date..

The content is awesome and the instructors were very good, but one instructor needs to improve her presentation skills. The provider edx is great and it was very comfortable to have the course using edx. Another problem that the course material needs to be updated as new updates is released and some things has been changed after the material is made so I hope the new version of the course will be updated for the latest updates of power BI - here I am talking especially about power BI apps and app workspace as these have been introduced instead of groups and content packs -

Very good course. Covers almost all the critical capabilities of the Power BI and its application in an enterprise. Microsoft's team who developed the product were tutoring the class. Exercises are well thought through. Highly recommend this comprehensive course.

I would recommend this course for getting to know not just Power BI but also the world of Business Intelligence. The examples seem realistic, and the exercises are useful in reinforcing the course content. The instructors are good communicators, to the point that you could watch most of the videos at 1.25X speed. A background in working with and managing data helps greatly with the course but is not essential. Before starting I would seriously consider paying for and hopefully publishing the certificate on your LinkedIn profile. The only negative note is that some of the screens/examples presented are becoming out of date due to the steady changes of the Power BI product (and Azure), but the basics are the same. Also having access to a Microsoft 365 subscription helps greatly, although there are instructions as to how to obtain a trial/temporary account. This course was great for delving deeper into using Power Bi to build reports for my department. I had to find some work arounds due to problems loading some of the lab files and restricted excel version i had but managed to figure it out. It might be a good idea to look at updating this course in line with updates made to Power Bi. Will highly recommend this course as a starting point to using Power Bi.

I found really useful this course, I learned many things from this tools that I will work on my daily basis on work. I am really satisfy with all the content and the assesment. I just want to say as a point of improvemnt that few points in PBI Service module are out of date, but I could solve the assesment thanks to the Community Forum. I will recommend this course to my collegues! Thank you for all!

I found this course really helpful to have a platform to excel more in the field of Data Analytics. Power BI is definitely a powerful tool and having seamless integration with other Microsoft products makes it an ultimate choice. Course content was awesome to train like a real-world scenario.

A practical course that covers the basic capabilities of Power BI and its applications. I would like to see more examples on R integration, especially on data mining and machine learning.

I really enjoyed this course and found it easy to follow and apply; clear and concise! A few improvement points: - Better graphics on visualisations as it was difficult to see. Or zoom in more - Do not spoon feed the steps for the labs; use an appendix rather than a step by step guide - More emphasis on DAX, API as it was glossed over very quickly; maybe even worth starting a new course on it

Great course for folk who want to get an overview of the Power BI. This is an introductory course and touches almost all of the aspects of Power BI from designing importing data, designing reports to deploying them and using them on the mobile phone as well. The Excel module did not work for me even after I installed Silver Light. Being a Microsoft product, I would expect Excel to have worked seamlessly. I would like to see an advanced version of this course if one is already not there. Overall, I think it is worth the price you pay.

The videos, instructions, tools, and datasets are often outdated. If Microsoft makes updates to Power BI they should at least update these training videos annually. Most videos are from 2015! Much has changed then. There were several lab exercises that I had to wing it on because links were expired or features removed/transformed.

Very good course. Did for the data science track. I think it has more visualizations than Highcharts. Thankfully Power BI has a developer API. The only issue I faced was on the security. Could not do the lab because I am not an admin at my company.

I absolutely loved the course and the presenters as well as being able to use Edx to complete it for free. The content was great except for a few times where the information or features in the application/service did not match up with where it was in the videos. I bombed unit 6 because of this reason and had a major delay in completing a lab in an earlier unit. Also, the Microsoft website does not match up with where things were in the content as well so some degrees. It's time to update a few of the videos.

Great course, easy-understandable content, good teachers. Really impressive program for me, with minimum efforts you'll get beautiful reports. Will definitely help you in your professional life if you do analysis and visualizations. After you finished with the course, you'd better to practice yourself, to use these skills automatically. And yes, would be great to study a course about DAX

This course has given me a solid foundation in learning Power BI from scratch. The content covers everything from editing a table, performing calculations and measures, to creating a report, then a dashboard. It also goes into detail on how to use Power BI online and the various collaboration methods. The instructors (both Will and Amanda and the third instructor) are all very engaging, and the video lengths are perfect- rarely more than 3 minutes. In response to many reviews stating that some content is outdated, this is to be expected as Power BI updates very regularly. However I had little to no difficulty in completing the labs, and there is guidance on the discussion forum and it is easy to ask for help there too. I have already started implementing what I have learned at work, so I am grateful for this great course. Thank you.

Once the version tool of power BI is often updated since the course was released some of the features presented in the course are not there or are changed which turns some Lab exercises undoable, to be honest.

It is a fundamental course on Power BI. I have worked with Tableau and Microstrategy, and I can see Power BI is a very Powerfull tool. Instructors are good, but there is one as a stutterer and listening is a little uncomfortable sometimes. Anyway they explain very well the topics.
