I have been working on Power Query and Power Pivot and this is a comprehensive and overall very good course. There's a huge potential behind. However, the last two modules could be done in 1 or split into other modules. You should also spend more time on relationships, it was too quick however this is critical.

The content is good in general, but some parts of the course could be updated. For example it was not possible to complete the sql azure part because the connector only works on the desktop. The introduction to building customized views is more advanced than the rest of the material in the course. Apart from these small issues the course is a great introduction to power bi.

I had a some prior experience with PowerBI and I was mainly interested in the certificate. But then, as I was doing the course, I found that it was rounding out my product knowledge. The Custom Visuals were a real suprise. The instructors did an excellent job in presenting the material, and all the content was easy to download and use. I found this course well worth the effort and it made me really appreciate the capabilities of PowerBI.

For the most part, it is a great introduction to Power BI Services environment. However, starting with Module 8 it feels like the content needed to be rushed. Creating Custom Visuals in the same module requires intermediate knowledge of C# and .NET. The speed the concepts introduced is not realistic considering the course is supposed to an introduction. In my opinion, Module 8 should be removed from the content. In addition, Module 9 is a rather repetition what it was said before in one of the previous modules. Again, it is not really necessary to have this module.

I have been working on Power BI for a few months. This course was excellent to remind me of some features I had read about but had not used. Although DAX wasn't covered in-depth, I found an appreciation for what DAX can do to provide deeper analysis. The format of the course is great as it teaches a little, quizzes you, then a lab ties it all together.

The course is really comprehensive - from sourcing and shaping data to reporting, dashboards, collaboration and customization. Content is a bit out of date, but that cannot be helped considering the rapid development of the product.

I learned a lot while taking this course, and would recommend for an absolute beginner. I wish there was more basics of DAX taught, as that is what I was hoping to learn as well. Will was a phenomenal instructor!

I started to use Power BI a couple of months ago and this course made me improve my work very fast. The pedagogical structure is very good. I miss more content about organizing visually the data.

The course is very good as content, however there are two problems, first is that the quizzes questions are sort of a check that the taker has went through the sections, where I think it should be more like the labs "Get this, do this......". Second Problem is that as Power BI gets a monthly update, the course should be updated more regularly, for example: couldn't finish Section 7 lab because Azure SQL server is only available in PBI Desktop while in the content it was based on Powerbi.com, and the connections mentioned are not working anymore.

Before I started this course I had no idea about POWER BI. Started the course from the scratch and the way this course has designed and presented made me understand every concept by myself without any issues. Well planned and designed course content, videos and Lab Exercises. If there are more exercises are added for REST API that would add more completeness to the course.

A well organized course to get an exhaustive introduction to a very good tool. The best part is that you have hand on the tool and so you can get to know well Power BI and its potential. I highly suggest to do all the exercies proposed.

Course content and structure good. I would flip to using an Azure DB like the T-SQL course and Access is not as common. I would provide the option of doing more DAX but not necessary for the course. The Excel rendering that uses Silverlight is getting flaky and not supported by Edge. I would rethink how to show this. The Enterprise Gateway seems to be the direction now Flow is in so I would use that one instead of personal gateway with examples of how to use when set up. Not clear to me still.

Great training, never used before and it is a great tool. My company is using 365 enviroment and I will use Power BI to share insights and visualizations. In the past I use Tableau but not sure if we will have budget to continue with the license and this solution has a better price. Thanks

I'm glad to have explored Power BI: it's a tool I probably would not have considered using if this hadn't been an option for the data science professional degree curriculum. I think I would need to return to the curriculum if I try to use it for real-time visualizations of hosted data in the future, but the basics felt intuitive after seeing the examples. (The labs were very helpful with that.)

I took this course for the Microsoft Professional Degree in Data Science curriculum. Prior to taking the course, I had worked with Power BI for over a year. I still learned some things. Due to the pace of Power BI's development, some of the detailed content was stale and needed to be updated (SSAS Connector reference, etc.), but overall a great course.

Excellent course, Will's presentation style is relaxed, engaging and easy to follow with a focus on working through the material in a logical fashion. If you haven't used PowerBI before, by the time you've completed all of the labs, you'll be very familiar with the various aspects of PowerBI. Highly recommended.

Content for the most part were really good. Unfortunately some of the online services sections were not covered in as much details as other features. Also some prior knowledge of DAX would have been helpful before doing the course.and Instructors. Instructors were good really presenting / communicating these modules.

From a guy who knew absolutely nothing about powerbi before doing this course, I found it incredibily informative and enjoyable. The pace is great, the content is relevant, and the labs are worthwhile. Recommend this course for sure.

Very good course with a lot of great information. Although PowerBI seems simple and easy to use, it is not easy to get started with it. This course addresses this issue very well and allows those who want to learn more to dive as deeply as they want. However, I missed the chance to pay and get certificate. I think the opportunity should be open as long as the course is open. I went out of town for a few weeks and had to take several modules in a short period of time before the course time ended, but I missed the chance to pay and get my certificate, which is very unfortunate.

Enthusiastic presenters really made it fun to learn. Quizzes aren't very helpful, but labs are fantastic for getting guided hands-on experience. It's really just an intro to Power BI, but gives you broad exposure to the capabilities & offers suggestions on where to look for additional info. There's a lot crammed into the first 4 modules so it takes longer to go through those.

Great course for introduction into PowerBI. The course is well organized with great lecturers. The labs are well prepared and reflects the problems I am facing while using PowerBI. I do recommend this course to anyone who is starting to use PowerBI and needs an overview of all its features.

Informative, well constructed learning modules. I should have turned off phone, emails etc. Not doing so took me longer to complete the course and I got questions wrong which I knew the correct answers too. Course completion was well worth the effort.

Power BI is an awesome product, but the course felt more like a long "infomercial" rather than a real course. The quiz questions are mostly obvious, and some of the labs are too basic to be instructive. I would classify this as a basic introduction to Power BI, but you still need to search the web for solutions to harder problems.

I really enjoyed this course! I gained a lot from it and have been able to apply it to my daily work. I recommend it highly to anyone who wants an introduction to PowerBI. Educationally, what I liked about this course was that the assessments were a combination of comprehension and practical exercises that required you to apply what is taught. This has the effect of providing feedback to you as a learner that you are absorbing the material. Did I mention that I really enjoyed the course? I did!
