The content is also accessible for consumers who are curious about how to make informed decisions while pursuing their own well-defined, long-term, responsible consumption goals.

This course addresses CSR in two ways:

  • As a reflection of corporate self-awareness
  • As a source of innovation and a means to deal with heightened competitiveness, demands for sustainable development, and shifts in international governance

By presenting insights from CSR experts, from both academia and practice, this course provides a way for managers, consumers, and citizens to acquire in-depth insights and critical perspectives on companies’ CSR activities and communications. The multi-industry case study structure of this course enables participants to confront the challenges facing today’s managers as they seek to develop and communicate their own CSR initiatives. Dedicated discussion forums also are available for participants to present personalized CSR cases.

To help participants manage and communicate about CSR with various internal and external stakeholders, this course seeks to:

  • Support current and future business leaders in their efforts to make responsible leadership, sustainable production, and consumption central to their corporate vision.
  • Help citizens to function more effectively as informed watchdogs and responsible consumers.

The content is very well curated, relevant and updated. The topic is vast but the course helps you to navigate through the important and current material. Instructor, including academics, practitioners and especially the main facilitator are very well chosen. They add a lot of value and make even the difficult parts understandable and relatable. The Provider of the course University of Louvain has made high quality videos, added excellent list of reading materials, links to sites etc.

The course is interesting, the content is diverse and methodology engaging. Appropiate for a deep insight into CSR, although I would say it is insufficient if you expect to learn specific techniques to apply on your work.

Thank you for this course. I appreciated having different points of view for all the experts and the companies that participated. I also appreciated the questions before each topic that made me think about it, instead of just receiving the information right away. It helped create a more critical and personal perspective of the issues at hand.

Most of the videos include several speakers, all providing their opinions on and experiences with the topics at hand. Their English is sometimes "chaotic", making their point difficult to understand at times, and it's a shame that the transcripts don't smooth out their speeches. Nevertheless, the content is thorough and interesting and relies on solid case studies.

Exquisitely well done! I am impressed by the high level of the instructors, the quality of the content, as well as the EDX platform. This is my first approach to online courses and I still need some time to see how it will go as I have to do my final assignment.

This was mt first attempt at online learning. The experience was fantastic. The modules were informative and relevant. Being able to track your progress by completing the quizzes after each module was very helpful as it encouraged reviewing the module if you were in doubt! Gratitude to Nestle for providing real info. All case studies and links have added huge scope to the subject. I loved the global perspective! The final assignment was very challenging but most fulfilling. Thank you to all

Is my first time that I take a course in EDX and I enjoy it. I like all the information, and organization in the course. The only thimk is that I would like to be more close to the classmates and try to interexchange more information between us. I like that in the course they give us a real examples with differents companies.

The course content was very comprehensive and is a good introduction in the CSR topic. How much you get out of it in the end depends on how much time you put in it, the tests aren´t difficult to pass at all. But if you want to get more out of it than a pass mark, there is all the information you need. The course also gives a great idea of relevant organizations and actors in the field.

Excellent MOOC! I recently completed it. Overall, it gives attendees all the basic knowledge to become familiar with the CSR notion and how it applies in the modern business world. It combines representatives from both the business and academic sector, as well as examples having Nestle as reference. The final report is a great incentive to apply what was taught during the MOOC. Although I was already interested in CSR before taking this MOOC, I am now even more interested in it and tend to deal with it further.

I learned a lot and enjoyed the passion of the experts. I specially liked the first parts about what is Csr. The other chapters being focused on how to communicate on it. The final assessment is interesting too. I think the Csr topic is so important nowadays that it should really be studied. The reason why I removed one star is for a little lack of variations in the videos. I recommend it!

I'm very happy to see the contents of the course which will give a detail awareness of CSR, stakeholders, who's responsible for what, the impact of CSR, et al. I expect that the Course will not only enhance the understanding, but it will also assist us to implement CSR being the part of our Corporate team and being individual as a part of society. Whereas the matter of instructor, I am not aware of her, but the step she is gonna take, imparting knowledge/education about CSR, is appreciable. Wish all the concerned the best for this endeavor.
