Highly recommended course. It's amazing how much content was covered in such a (seemingly) short time. The content was neatly organized and and the pacing made it very easy to take a break and resume at anytime. Prof. Weissman's videos were never boring, not even once! I wish more edX courses were this good.

I would describe myself as a person with knowledge on the subject. I enrolled to do a refresher but also to see how the subject is presented. I wasn't disappointed. Note that this is an introduction course so it concentrates on the basic ideas. And does it well. The explanations make good use examples and metaphors. There are exercises to test the knowledge yourself. Good job!

I was a Computer Science graduate of 1989 from New Jersey. I worked as System (Network) Administrator back then using LAN and Novell Network. It was before Internet and there were no cell phones, no face book or whatsapp or viber. I had experience in cleaning up the virus on computer hard disks and doing repairs and administering Mac & PC labs etc. in a College at that time. We did not worry much about cyber security at that time but now we have to really worry about cyber security. I almost left my field but using my education and experience to help younger generation. Currently I am in the field of selling Education Savings Program to children in Ontario, Canada. I am a self-learner and learned many things by myself by utilizing wonderful courses from edX. I have finished half way of my Master’s Degree in Computer Science in 1990s and hoping to finish one day if I can. Cyber security is an essential course for everyone. ... Great course! I finished it with an 89% score, and I decided to purchase the certificate. This is my 1st certificate I purchase even though I have taken several MOOCs in edX and other platforms. I think it's totally worth it. For example, I recently finished "Introduction to Cyber Security" in FutureLearn and this one is superior, because of the quality of the content, the skills of the instructor (thumbs up to Jonathan!) and the challenging quizzes. This course will motivate you to be interested in a really important area nowadays which is cybersecurity.

Thank you very much professor Weissman and to your team for a great course. Your lectures are very professional and filled with compact information. Some units were a bit challenging with a lot of reading to digest, fortunately I got used to it. I'm now aiming to continue the journey with the following modules and looking forward to your next course.

Very intelligently clearly and succinctly documented and lectured course. This is a fundamental course in Cybersecurity which encompasses all of it that mean. Professor Jonathan's video lecture competes anybody in the world with his eloquence. His clear and crisp pronunciation makes anyone understand easily other than native English speakers. I suggest wholeheartedly whoever wish to take up this course in pursuing cybersecurity professionally. All the best!!
