Firstly, a disclaimer: I aced the exam. Seeing as this is the first time this course has been run, readers please take this review as perhaps over-critical and attribute the date of this review when considering this course in the future. This is purely out of desire for this course to improve. I personally think this was a very challenging course for an online one. Add to this that some data sets are wrong or different to the examples, answers are wrong from activities and even some notation in the notes are wrong (missing or wrong signs, leading you to question what is right/wrong). Consequently, when you see these mistakes being raised in the discussions, it is mentioned that the errors will be fixed but the discussion is from 20+ days ago. Inconsistent formulae as well, E.g. Quartile analysis: Study material provides function as quartile(range,0-4) whereas in downloaded answers; function is quartile.exc(range,0-4). This actual... Firstly, a disclaimer: I aced the exam. Quartile analysis: Study material provides function as quartile(range,0-4) whereas in downloaded answers; function is quartile.exc(range,0-4). This actually gave different answers. Not enough video lectures; just text and more text. Finally, I need to stress that there was FAR too much content for a 100% exam with no downloadable lecture notes. I did this course along with the Finance one and can certainly say that I found this specific one very challenging. Too much content was crammed into a short course which in turn was required to all be remembered and executed for the final assessment. Break up the assessments into weighted assignments or quizzes at the end of every topic. Encourages better and more focused learning of each module.
