I have really enjoyed the challenges presented by this course and have found the drawing tasks assigned have really improved my drawing and observational skills immensely. the videos and other information presented have provided excellent building blocks to apply to the tasks and hopefully will continue to inform my drawing in the future. I particularly found the module on flower structure and drawing really inspiring. I never thought I would be able to produce any kind of realistic botanical work but to my surprise I did well in this module. I enjoyed doing the flower structure illustration and now have the tools to do more with botanical illustration and am also keen to try water colour painting. Any chance of a course devoted to this, particularly water colour painting? I was a bit daunted by the idea of peer assessment but found applying the criteria presented to each aspect of the task made the process easier, however, I ... Thank you to the Natural History Illustration staff involved in presenting this course, you did a great job of putting the course together and leading us step by step through the basics. I hope you will consider offering more in the future.

This was a fun introductory course to participate in, though the videos always felt too short and left me longing for more, the information provided was adequate and fair challenges set for the assignments. An offshoot facebook group was created which really brought the interaction with other students to life. A free course - how can you complain.

This was a terrible course. The introduction missed a lot of the information it should have had. The drawings presented couldn't be copied so you could look at them offline. Most of the assessments were about criticizing others' work. The submissions for homework were not accepted so progress was not updated. I would have gotten more out of any book than I got out of this course.
