This course is an excellent one for people of all ages wanting to engage usefully with their community and green spaces. It is as relevant for retirees who want to get involved as it is for school kids. The project is a really good idea although if you don't have a current civic ecology practice to work on it can take some time to get started as I've discovered. I will recommend this course to my on-line learners group - I think it is well suited for group or "buddy" study.

This course is an eye-opener for me as an educator and poet who aims at writing Nature Poetry and also focusing my research interest on ETHNOECOLOGY, or Cultural Ecology, in rural Africa, Ethiopia (Oromia). Even though the contents center on the professor's urban-based experience, it serves as a springboard for researcher who plans to engage rural communities in a social-ecological stewardship. I took this course and working on my Project for an EXPERT CERTIFICATE. Thank you all Assefa Dibaba
