There are two kinds of courses one which are useful in short run, and the select few which can change your life, this is one of the latter. This course deals with philosophy, and gives an inside peak of a Harvard classroom (classes are a recording of classroom). Join if you want to challenge your way of thinking, course moves beyond theoretical aspects, and tackles some contemporary issues with perspective of Philosophers, what would Aristotle think of a modern problem or a John Rowles. In the end MJ Sandel is a Great Professor, I ended up reading all his books. A must for anyone looking to go beyond daily Grind.

Justice is an excellent course. The lectures are a delight and deceptively thought-provoking. Even with hundreds of students in the room, Professor Sandel does a superb job of soliciting opinions and encouraging discussion. (The students are a delight, too; able and ready to think on their feet.) I have studied ethics on my own for several years, and include ethical decision-making when I teach my own courses on philanthropy and nonprofit management, and I still found Justice to be useful and thought-provoking.

Michael Sandel is amazing, I'm really enjoying this class so far. If you would like to challenge your way of thinking and achieve a high philosophical degree of awareness join his class. It's not easy, you'll have to take notes and pass the quizzes and the final exam if you want to get a certification.

This course centers on moral and political philosophy. I strongly recommend it. Michael Sandel is superb at explaining the concepts in an engaging way, putting forward his own arguments without being too biased and using the audience to illustrate the different ways of thinking about justice.

Amazing course! Professor Sandel's passionate presentation on the various aspects of Justice gives course participants a solid way in which to explore this subject. The debate and discussions on these modern day issues allow us to examine and question the various aspects of "what is just?" This course has made me want to learn more! I would definitely recommend it! Thank you Professor Sandel for making learning interesting and engaging.

Seriously interesting, direct and open, contemplative and precise, historical and modern. I took this class solely with the hope of uncovering tools to better myself and the people & society around me, and it offered more than I could have imagined. Fabulously free course content and a professor clearly in love with his study.

Many thanks to Edx and Harvard for making this online course possible. I may never meet the brilliant people behind this course in person to thank you and to share my personal thoughts with you, but again I thank you from the bottom of my heart. It has been a superb and enriching mental experience that affirmed, revised, and even changed my worldviews. I'm just so glad that I've met and learned (and will surely continuously learn) from Professor Michael Sandel at least online. I never imagined that philosophy could be as interestingly challenging, humorous, witty, cool, and engaging as the way he delivered his lectures. I love sir and may you live long! If there is a real God (of which philosophy cannot simply disprove since it is a matter of faith), then I humbly pray that the Almighty may bless you more.

Fascinating course! Can change the way you think about problems of the world and life. Hearing the students given explanation of why they have formed the opinions that they have is also fascinating. Of course, they are Harvard students so their explanations are quite learned and deep. Really enjoyed the class.
