I just completed this course and I feel satisfied. This is a great way to start. The course is really ok. It is good for total beginners as well as for people who may know something in this area. Some serious project is something that needs to be add to this course. My advice is not to hurry, read external links and practice as much as you can. Please DON'T hurry. Teachers are ok, but they can give more. Material is well organized, the flexbox and css grid are left for some other intermediate course (it is ok, this is just fundamentals), but with extra material given here you can learn it too. The total lenght of the course, as it written, is six weeks and you approximately spend 4 to 6 hours. I found that this is true, I finished them earlier, but I spent, I assume, 30+ hours to finished the course. I have some prior knowledge, so you maybe need some more time. Cheers and best wishes.

This is the best web tutorial I've ever taken. Much better than what I learned during my 4 years in college. I have much better confidence in creating sites as I "understand what is going on underneath the skin" concerning HTML and CSS. Flexbox and CSS grids are amazing by the way, good-by floats and clear both. :-)

This course was an amazing experience! I really enjoyed the video tutorials, recipe projects, and learning from the top providers of the industry. Flexbox is absolutely the coolest invention on the planet. The course taught me how to build my html documents to fit on numerous devices. I highly recommend this to anyone.

This course was a really simple and clear point to start HTML5 and CSS for newcomers. Absolutely useful material. That was highly instructed and causes the least amount of confusion in students. The projects and activities after every single unite allows you to actually test what you've learned and interactive with other learners, learn from them and teach them ;)

Just finished the whole thing! Overall Score: This course is a must have for you to achieve a deep understanding of the concept. This course will go pound for pound with any paid beginner course The Good: Wow, the extent of the materials here is vast. You learn a lot & by the end of it you'll know how to approach HTML & CSS & not just code a long like other resources out there The Bad: There were a number of the to be honest Module 6 is simply terrible & I suggest that if you're interested in learning Flexbox (& You SHOULD! :) just look up some tutorial online & you'll be in a much better situation Also, if you want to build websites then you would need to add other resources to your arsenal, this course is not enough. One last thing: the language uses here, especially in Modules 5 & 6 is not user friendly. If you are not a native English speaker like me the course is not user friendly. Excellent content, structure as well as presentation. The whole course is designed and structured in a nice manner which introduces the easier concepts first and then the meatier ones. I was badly struggling with CSS before taking this course and I didn't know much about HTML5, though i had some basic exposure to earlier HTML. But after completing this course, i can not only understand CSS and HTML5 code written by others, I can also write my own CSS and HTML5 code! That is wonderful.

Definitely a must-have course if you want to get familiar with the web world. I just don't think its a beginner course b/c the amount of detail it goes into is intense. I had a prior understanding of html and css, but this course put my knowledge to shame. Be forewarned: Most of the course is reading through a lot of text, but as much as i hate reading at times, it's a good read.

Excellent course, did not have any experience in HTML and gave me what I expected from him, basic tools and sufficient knowledge to start in this section, I would like to continue learning and i will possibly continue to the next course, unfortunately the situation in my country me prevents access to the certificate because for economic and political reasons we have a change control which makes it impossible to access currencies to pay the amount of the course, which on the other hand currently represents about six months of salary

From a total rookie to a beginner and aspiring front-end web developer, this course helped a lot. It provided the basics of HTML5 and CSS3 in ways that I could remember it. The videos really helped me understand the course' contents. The instructors were really clear on their instructions and on how to do the coding. To everyone who wants to take this course, always remember that it is really important to go through all the activities so that you can put your learning to use. Happy coding!

I had no background at all in html or css and I can build a pretty nice web page now. That's not to say there were not moments of frustration (mostly with the building tools) but overall this is a great course. I learned a lot! I have recommended it to my friends.

I took this course to update my web development knowledge, which was very out of date (dating back to the HTML 2 and 3 specifications). I thought, overall, that it was an excellent refresher, and probably accessible enough for people with no prior knowledge. My only criticism: I was not fond of the use of the XDK development environment. There wasn't anything terribly wrong with it, but it really seemed like overkill, particularly for a course being made available worldwide on a platform widely used in developing countries. I mean, it's 282MB, and Intel don't seem to publish the system requirements but people with slow platforms report it being unusable. It's just far more overhead than web programming requires. You can do the course without it, via Codepen and other tools, but that isn't really made clear at the point XDK is introduced.

For beginners its amazing way to learn a new skill,Difficulty level is very very easy, you can complete this in a week or less than that. Overall a nice experience.Taking Parts in discussions not recommended, keep practicing on your project. And you can skip installing intel sdk ,you can write your codes in notepad, intel sdk is very buggy and laggy software, half of the functions of intel sdk showed in course ain't work.
