In this course, you’ll gain an understanding of the basic concepts of anatomy and learn to ‘dissect’ the human body with a logical approach through a typical clinical case of stroke.

Case-based study:
A real-life severe stroke case is adopted in this MOOC to articulate the application of Human Anatomy knowledge. This case scenario is presented by using a micro movie together with an interactive case summary and interview to arouse learners’ interest.

Module-based design:
In addition to the presentation of a stroke case scenario in Module ONE, two more modules are included. In Module TWO, general knowledge of human anatomy related to the stroke case, including organs of important body systems, anatomical orientation, skeletal and muscular system, nervous system and special senses, and cardiovascular and pulmonary system. And Module THREE is specific for healthcare professionals or learners who want to know more about the health services being provided to stroke patients. It rounds up the course with six healthcare-discipline specific role play videos and lectures given by visiting professors.

I only wanted to obtain an overview of human anatomy yet this course seemed to provide a trifle more info. Thus I only retained what I felt was necessary for basic anatomical understanding, so that I can focus upon individual organs in depth through future courses.

Very good course in anatomy. Syllabus structure and content are crystal clear. Full basics of anatomy is covered which makes the learner to follow and understand very easily. Questions and videos are healthy in understanding the subject to the core. In a nut shell, useful for all the health care professionals.

This is an excellent introductory course on anatomy. It is well organized and succinctly takes you through the basics of anatomy for those with a non-medical background like myself. Module 2 was particularly helpful in summing up the various systems in the human body. The videos were clear, articulate and effective at conveying an overview of human anatomy.

This course goal was to describe all the main systems of the human body, considering injuries and keeping a particular focus on stroke cases. Sadly, the result is a low-quality introduction to anatomy, without studying any topic with a level of detail suited for a serious university course.

It is the best anatomy course I have seen. Micro movie to present the stroke case, polling questions to stimulate more in-thinking, and the teaching videos are comprehensive and easy to understand. Despite some assessment questions are challenging and difficult to answer, I do enjoy the process. I like the mkst the polling question about the bone fracture after stroke.

I participated in this course from start to finish. The only problem I ever had was the acting haha! The content is great and this course was very much so educational. Well worth the price for a certificate.
