The contents of this course are not enough to understand the topics fully, but it gives very good introduction into SPARK MLib tool.

A well balanced content on Spark ML apis and ML algorithms. The course is mainly using Spark ML(Machine learning apis). I was actually expecting Spark streaming but this course did not have any. But over all great course.

I was surprised at how little the assignments had to do with the content of the course. I ended up taking the Final Exam after the first two modules and got a 90%. The labs are inconsequential. I expected far better.

I enjoyed this course a lot. It reiterates concept learnt in the previous classes for the Data Science Certification in a different environment. It was fun, easy to follow and understand. All questions to test knowledge were straightforward. Thank you for such a great class!

An attentive student who works through the exercises can learn a lot about Spark from this course. The labs are easy to follow and the videos are helpful. Unfortunately, when I took this course, the comprehension questions were straightforward enough to be answered without doing any of the other coursework. (This makes the credential less valuable, though the content is still useful for someone who wants to engage with it.) Maybe that issue will be addressed in future iterations.

I enjoyed this course and found it a good introduction to HDInsight (in general) and Spark running on top of it. I must say I had to dust off my Linux skills which was a bit of a blast from the past, but this is all good and I am happy to have done it--I feel much more comfortable using Linux workloads on Azure than I was before. Furthermore, when the lab instructions tell you to tear down your HD Cluster, it means it. Leaving the cluster running for any longer than is necessary can chew through your credit (or credit card). What I did was to fire up a new cluster when I got home and relax, have dinner and unwind; then when I was ready to study for the evening, the cluster was warmed up and ready to go. I think all the creating and tearing down of the cluster was a benefit of this course as it forced me to gain practice I might not get otherwise.

Hello Graeme, I like the way you conducted the 'Querying with Transact-SQL'. I am excited for this course. My suggestion: If you guys can provide the Prerequisites course numbers in the edx. that would help us to prepare ourself before taking the course.
