It had been twenty years since I took a course in AI. I'm knew the field changed a lot and hoped to get an overview of how things are now. This course is not it. What this is, really, is an introduction to Microsoft's Azure AI services. Something that is needed, but has nothing to do with an introduction to artificial intelligence. Instead of learning anything underlying new AI techniques, this is a series of hands-on drills that teaches you nothing other than the mechanics of doing this. It spends an incredible amount of time around ceremony regarding key registration and billing and authentication and web service - all of which are useful, none of which have a lick to do with AI.I would recommend this course *only* if you decided you wanted to use some off-the-shelf facilities in Microsoft Azure *and* you didn't really care about what was going on under the hood *and* it is 2018 (this stuff gets upgraded all the time). As an introduction to what you can do with off-the-shelf technology, this is great! As an introduction to a certificate sequence on Artificial Intelligence, it's an absolute klunker. p.s. If it isn't immediately obvious where this course is coming from, the end of every chapter has what is basically an ad for Microsoft services. Fortunately, edX allows me to easily skip over these.

The course is great. Content is practical. I was unable to complete the Bot lab because the Bot Service(Preview) option is not available in azure portal at the time I was working on this specific lab. I have no idea if this was renamed or removed from azure. Not enough info to fully complete the bot lab.

I was a novice before beginning this course in the field of Artificial Intelligence. But after it's completion I am quite capable of giving a confident presentation and clear description on AI anywhere and infront of anyone. The entire content was well organized, well described with appropriate illustrations wherever required. The instructor was up to mark. I suggest everyone to take up this course to have a basic idea of AI and it's application in various fields.
