Very good. Would have been even better if there was a closer connection between video lecture and quiz/lab material. Something like the following: 1. A simple demonstration 2. Exercise similar to demonstration 3. Demonstration of complexities 4. Exercise requiring generalization of complexities. Good job.

Excellent, Only Lab instructions and exercises should be different from Lecture contents. Quiz contents and questions should be available too without quiz results which is important for certificate.

Actually there is one point that should be improved: you should also guide Mac user like me because the interface in Mac is a bit different from Window. It is hard for me to find the same functions in Mac as Window.

Very good exposure to pivot tables and good workarounds for the limitations of pivot table. The discussion group was also very helpful in case one finds themselves stuck in between. This is a must-do for all the to-be professionals out there.

it wasn't easy for me. i am new to this things of computer. the videos were short and it was good like that. but i think the intrustor has to show us more videos where he perfoms the tasks. it was hard for me because i had no knowleged about Excel the explanations of the proffesor made things very easy for me. sometimes i got it sometimes i didn't but overall i learnt a lot. thank you!

It would have been more effective if the videos were shorter and an exercise to perform every two to three tasks covered in the video followed each lecture section. Overall, I did learn a great deal more about excel's capabilities and will begin to use some new features I did not know existed prior to this class.

I have been using Excel for my studies, I find it very useful for the presentations to convey the important information to the audience. By completing this course without the certificate, although I did not receive graded assessments, I cross-checked my answers with those posts in the Discussion Forum. It is still a good way to broaden my knowledge of using Excel for data analysis. Thank you.

I had issue downloading the demography file. And the pivot link to be downloaded encountered issue on my Mac Probook. Above all my excel version is a 2010 version. Which means I was unable to walk through Lab Q8.. However I can say from today I am an expert in pivots. Thank you Edx

The course description needs to display explicitly, and from the start, that it is necessary to use a PC in order to complete the course. Using a Mac myself, I was very disappointed to discover, in the discussion section of the very last module that I was not able to complete the course nor to complete the following one. Other than that the course was very interesting, with clear and concise information, adequate exercises and support document. The data bases used for the exercises were really good as well.

it was very good. but I had to make an effort to see he ribbon and what he was written, if he could change the zoom a little bit it will be perfect..and it will be better to have numbers for scenarios to link it to each video (concerning that there is lot of instruction I each scenario)...and if its possible to get the result of scenario to compare it with ours

The course really exceeded my expectations. I found the explanation made by the instructor very clear and the exercises were challenging for me as I did not have any previous experience working with pivot tables. I have learnt a lot and think this is an ideal introductory course for starters like me. Congratulations to Microsoft and EdX!!

Indeed, it was helpful to grab on the basics of excel using. The instructor Dany Hoter, was also cooperative to give a picture of the cases, and the practical world where the excel can be utilized for organizing data. However, I personally think the given exercises (named as Lab) can be improved as some of them were a bit irrelevant with the syllabus chapter such as in 'lab 7'.

Nicely explained. The instructor left few tasks for the students to perform so it felt really interactive . The video lessons were very well demonstrated which made it easy to learn and apply . There are numerous courses out there but I liked the object oriented approach of this course. It was also very short yet very informative you can apply what you learnt in day to day life excel use. Looking forward to more such courses .

I like the way this course is being taught. With a project background, it's easier for students to understand each contact. I would recommend having more detained scenarios and questions for each content. After all, I believe exercises is the best way to lean. Thanks again for the perfect instructor!
