As this is my first course with edX online learning programs, I find this as an amazing opportunity for me, and many others to learn online, while being at home or office or at any place. The content of the course and the Instructor are just brilliant. Thanks edX.

This course is an excellent material for people who want to learn data analysis using excel. It provides step by step method of using the tools and it is clearly shown in the videos. Moreover, the exercise is good and I am able to learn the content easily. From this course, I learned Pivot Table, Slicers, Pivot Chart, and so on. Even though I am not a complete beginner is using Microsoft Excel, I still find it useful and good to know all these. I would like to continue on the next course and learn more in-depth of using excel to do data analysis.

Please enhance the readability of the excel sheet. It's almost impossible to see what is written in the formula bar. - Always Zoom in! - In some of the lectures the quality (focus) is very bad.

This course helps me to clarify my doubts and silly mistakes and now I can do more operations using Excel. Biggest advantage of taking this course is that all the lessons and concepts will be explained with examples also so that you can also have a hand on practice.

An excellent course to understand analysis of data through excel. Labs and quizzes help you master through practice. The only point where i felt problem was in understanding of formulas like SUMIFS, VLookup etc and that was also just because of the reason that i was not having much prior practice of the said formulas. Instructor way of teaching is excellent and very easily understandable. Course outline depicts that it has been finalized after quite deliberation as it almost covers the basics of data analysis.

Excellent!!! The balance theory-practice is exactly what people requires to enjoy the learning experience. I like the evolution of the modules and the construction of the case, the data bases used are really close to the reality of working environments. The instructor is not bored, and the topics are relevant to any professional. The link to the next course should be provided at the end of this course, I finalized with the enough curiosity and expectation to continue right away. It let me also know about improvements in the Excel 2016. Thanks to edX and Microsoft for this initiative, you are constructing loyal relationships with your customers, that at the end I believe is the objective of any company. I am going to recommend my colleagues that are eager to learn more of Excel to take the course. Let me know as soon as you publish the next course, I’m willing to take it. Regards, Clímaco Pérez

This course is about data analysis from statistics point of view. it would be ideal for students of statistics who are familiar with statistics concepts and want to review and learn R. for me, the video lectures were rather difficult. Quizzes are difficult and the two assignments were stressfull but I learned well how to write a data analysis report. for those who have time limitations I do not recommend this course. it is not optimal at all. but for those who have time it is a learning opportunity.

It was really easy to understand when taught by the instructor but when doing the quizzes and labs, I found it a bit hard but eventually got through it. So, I'm happy.

Good course to get up and running with pivot tables and pivot charts. Occasionally, the lab exercises could have been worded more clearly. I couldn't find a mention of the name of the follow-up course referred to on several occasions, which would have been useful.

It was a good learning for me.but we can add some formulas and more study material. It will be good if there is two way communication. in few questions in last chapter based on versions of MS excel we can give option to those rather than just asking them to skip

This is a very good course as an introduction to techniques around pivot tables. The only problem is that when using the Data Model, it causes an Excel error. I am using Windows 10 and Excel 2016.

The course material was really good and it helped me to build a stronger context in MS Excel. Clear instructions regarding manipulating the data were provided before every quiz which made it easy for a beginner to understand and learn. Videos were of great help where simple tricks were also taught along with Excel. The whole course was well organized and I found it very helpful.

This course is very interesting and has allowed me to learn some Excel functions that I didn't know about it. It's important to note that, as a current user of Excel 2016 for Mac, I couldn't complete some of the assigned tasks, which are only supported by Excel 2016' Windows versions.

The course was most informative and comprehensive; I knew a little about pivot tables and charts but this expanded my knowledge considerably. The instructor was, of course, extremely knowledgeable and I appreciated his bits of road-map in terms of Excel’s capabilities. However, and autocue would have helped in terms of the lectures and I found it very difficult to make out the details of the screen when he was using Excel (both in terms of the cell contents and the ribbon) – a blow-up of the area would make a useful improvement. In terms of the provider, the general layout was fine but I could pick a few nits with certain details. For the quizzes, if I get it right on the first attempt, why do I then need to do a final check? The speech to text didn’t work very well (and, therefore, neither did the transcripts); while a manual transcription would be resource hungry, a proof read wouldn’t be so onerous, I would have thought. This is the best online course and the only one that I have finished!!! The course is set up very professionally and just works so well. The material works without incident, but maybe better to have Excel 2016, but both 2010 and 2013 work nearly as well. I would highly recommend this course to anyone who wants to take Excel to the next level. Dany is so very knowledgeable and delivers just the right amount of content without swamping the student. Of course some of the answers are buried, as times, in Dany's lecture, but there're there. The mysterious Mr/Ms Litzenberg is always in the background offering guidance and help and does so in a very polite and non-critical way. The help only takes a short time to appear (12hrs in my case), so the student is never alone. Thank you all. Now to complete the next module.
