It is good that this is a self-paced course. If you've had 0 experience in Web Programming, it would take time for you to get around it and in turn slows you down in finishing this course. But a basic knowledge would come in handy in appreciating this course. It was helpful for me.

The course itself is not bad, I have experience coding for a number of years but needed a quick refresher since I am not coding as much as I should. However the course could be really difficult for a beginner since he tends to skip around. Some typos in the information and the order of precedent with HTML5 needs a better understanding. New Elements in HTML5 are designed for good document structure, having a quick breakdown of it using images or a chart could help students see where the tags should be nested. I am not finish but I can follow along and where the explanation is not sufficient, I can fill in myself, since I understand what he is doing, but for someone with ZERO coding experience probably not the best course, better as a refresher course.

The Course attempts to introduce HTML, CSS, and Javascript in One course. I thought the HTML portion of the course was fine, but the CSS and Javascript components were pretty poor. The provided videos don't have much substance, just the instructor typing out code and showing it off. The code also isn't always that relevant to the topic of the particular module. I could definitely see how someone with 0 programming experience would be completely lost in this course. Much more time needs to be spent properly explaining information. The Homeworks were very well done and really did a good job reinforcing the concepts the modules intended to teach.

Excellent coverage and guidance for further development. Simple explanations, beginner oriented, not too fast or slow. A few minor objections: -In the WebSockets part I didn't catch an explanation what it is, I had to google it. It should be briefly explained in the course since the target audience are beginners. -It would be useful to see where and how all the code is visible on dev tools (F12), not only in visual studio. -Volume in videos should be higher (I have max volume in videos and max on laptop speakers, and it is lower than in most media on web). -Syllabus or more details about the content should be available before enrollment.

A reasonably good course to scratch the surface of HTML, CSS and Javascript. It does deliver where it claims to want to deliver but some of the content is poorly delivered, typos breaking code or sometimes code that is syntactically incorrect. These situations only popped up a few times, most of the content is done well. But still for a company as large a Microsoft you would expect them to deliver bug free code examples.

The course covers the basics as it promises, but there is nothing challenging and interesting, everything, even the so called "High-Level" homework instructions are very explicit leaving hardly anything to think about. Rather frequent typos and inaccuracies in questions and instructions were also a problem. All in all, I think it is a good introduction to the subject, but there is room for improvement.

Just started this course, and thus far, I am impressed. The contents are great for beginners or good as a refresher for those who need to be up to date. The examples are quite easy to follow, and a lot of hands on activity. I would recommend this course to anyone who wants to Learn HTML5, CSS or Javascrip.
