Course Description

This MIS course will cover supporting tech infrastructures (Cloud, Databases, Big Data), the MIS development/ procurement process, and the main integrated systems, ERPs, such as SAP®, Oracle® or Microsoft Dynamics Navision®, as well as their relationship with Business Process Redesign.

Management Information Systems (MIS) are an integral part of today’s professional landscape. From customer relationship management (CRM) systems handling the day to day interactions with clients and prospects, to financial systems issuing invoices and paying bills, day to day working life is increasingly controlled by these systems that dictate what to do and how.

This course will focus on what MIS are, how they influence your current or prospective jobs, why they impose specific - and sometimes seemingly absurd - operational procedures, and how to use this knowledge to your advantage in your professional life.

Very good and easy and easy to understand instructions. The content could provide a diagram to follow thru during the course; diagram could high light the part being explained in each module. This way we could see the total picture of this course and how we are progressing in each module. To the provider, the certificate was issued once I crossed the passing points but still had to finish modules. But shouldn't be issued once all modules and tests are completed? Thanks,

Excellent overview of MIS, highly recommended for students in the United States who want to understand fundamentals of the trans-industrial industry without hearing about how technology is going to save humanity and all that jazz!

I think the course does what it says it will do - a very useful and practical introduction to the principles, methods and applications of MISs. For me it went beyond that with very relevant links and reading materials for further learning. Thank you.

Through using easy and intelligible analogies, this course allows to learn about the basics of management information systems and the ways in which an organization can explode the required infrastructure. Besides, it counts with the appearance of a pet, which makes the learning funnier. Los vídeos pueden seguirse fácilmente gracias a los subtítulos en español.

I found the course informative, instructor relaxed in his delivery and the video style to be good. Reference material very informative Only concern with some of the graded and ungraded assignments was the answers were ambiguous, not always a clear definitive ansywer.

This course provides a great introduction to the topic. For IT people the examples are getting a bit boring but it's understandable as we are not the main audience of the course. I would add some diagrams in the handouts.
