It is the best course for non-programmers who are wishing to start their Data Science carrier using R Programming language as a tool. I have done similar courses in another well know online source, but that one forcing students to use from begging tools like Git Bash and Git. That's confuses me if you don't have programming experience before. I definitely will go to the next course "Data Science and Machine Learning Essentials, Microsoft - DAT203x" Starts - Sept 24, 2015

As I'm just a beginner, this basic course is immensely helpful for me. But I think you should include more videos regarding some other packages like dplyr, ggplot2 and so on.

The course was good but I don't feel satisfied. First problem: I had too short time to complete the course. It should be much longer, like 1-2 months. Because of the limited time I hadn't time to practice and understand the basics. Second problem: sometimes I had impression that in the videos there were basics of the basics, and then in the "practical" part everything was much much more difficult, the commands weren't clear , I didn't understand what to do, and because of the limited time I couldn't explore the tasks. I still cannot say "My level of R is basic", I have to practice to be able to say that and show that. Probably I will still look for another course.

I was able to learn a lot about R in a short period of time. I had no previous experience in R. I hope to use my new skills to become a better Data Analyst.

I only audited the course, so skipped all the exercises and went through the videos quite quickly because of my Java background, but I really liked the course. I shouldn't have been intimidated to look into R before and it makes sense now why it's considered a great language for statistics due to its special matrix, data frame and other operations. Of course this is only the beginning, but this course builds a good foundation I think, I really recommend it! The instructor's style is also good, good pace with some subtle humor.

This course really helped me to learn the basics of R. However, the final labs (which included functions in dplyr package, ggplot etc.) were not very lucid. In toto, kudos to the entire team of DataCamp.

This was a good course to learn the basics of R. There are mostly two areas where I think that future students would benefit from the course being improved. A minor complaint is the visibility of the plots shown in the lectures discussing plots and graphics. The pale colors did not show up well on my monitor and - given the quality of my monitor - I suspect that this problem might be common for other students as well. The other issue, which I consider to be more significant, is that a number of the labs in the later chapters were unclear in terms of what they wanted to be done or in terms of not properly explaining a newly introduced function, especially when that function was not previously addressed in the lectures.

The course was a great introduction. I enjoyed the short lectures and exercises. My only gripe is with the final labs. They needed more explanation for each of the new functions thrown at us. The hints were not useful either.

I consider that the course is widely recommended for people with a desire to learn the basics of R. It is perfectly formulated, structured and explained. The teaching times are optimal. The exercises are excellent for putting knowledge into practice. They really challenge your intellect to solve them. This course is a must. The instructor explains excellently, is up to the situation. The provider is quality, you can see that they dominate the topics.

I think the content is good enough for a new beginner to understand and the platform can be used to practice easily. However, I wish the practice assessment system can be more intelligent because sometimes I can use different codes to produce the required results which may be recognized by the system as wrong answers. Overall, this course is very good and valuable in my perspective!

Excellent program designed to deliver R for the novice. The course material was very good and the instructor was clear and knowledgeable about the subject. The final exam could have been designed more effectively to ensure clarity. It was a bit confusing at the beginning to understand the format of the exam and it took a few questions to get a hang of it.

I would like to said the selling point of "Self-Paced Format" is totally bullshit and misleading! After I enrolled and paid $99 for Cert on 11 June 2018 and I've been told that I must complete the course before 1 July 2018, it doesn't make any sense and really insane! A really very BAD EXPERIENCE!!

The course is well designed and structured in an interesting way, and is a great intro to R. Course content, timescale and layout make it easy to spread out the learning time. Videos are well presented and not too long. Data Camp Labs are easy to use and 'hands on' whereby you can run and test your code before submitting answers. Some questions on the final exam were a bit ambiguous but that probably applies applies to most exams these days!!

I had a little bit of programming knowledge of other languages before taking this course. That begin said, I believe it would be an excellent course for absolute programming beginners. The videos provided just enough information in a reasonable amount of time (4-6 mins each). The quizzes and especially the labs were excellent ways to reinforce the skills presented in the videos and get some hands-on, somewhat realistic use of the coding. The final was reasonable challenging - a good percentage of easy to difficult questions.

Solid course! Content is broad enough to give exposure to the many core elements of R. Learning platform is integrated, so there is no need to install software and a whole bunch of plugins. Videos are concise and to the point, clearly detailing each of the concepts. :)
