Professor Weissman's lectures are definitely some of the best in online learning- it makes me want to fly out to NY state and personally take the face-to-face courses he teaches. A big Kudos to the professor and the Cybersecurity department as a whole. I had a great deal of fun learning the forensics, network, risk management and cybersecurity of the IT world. Even though I have been in IT for 25+ years, this course (and review the preceding courses as well) has been an incredible boost to my motivation and drive to finish my career strong. This course is well worth the time- the combination of lectures and tool-packed activities will leave you much improved for sure.

Wow! So much was packed in this one course it's unbelievable. From discussing various threat vectors to tools like Metasploit, Snort, etc. Really liked the demo videos and hands-on content of the course. I am sure I will keep coming back to them. It's strongly recommended to take the Cybersecurity Fundamentals course (CYBER501x) before this one. Prof. Weissman is passionate about cybersecurity and this is abundantly clear in his lecture videos.

This is an excellent course, the content was clear and Professor Weissman's passion for Cybersecurity is reflected in the videos and activities. I recommend this course and specially the whole Micromaster program to anyone who wish to dive into this awesome field even without previous knowledge, in fact I started this course just for curiosity but know is one of the best investments I've ever done. Of course you have to dedicate a lot of time and effort but it worth every minute.

There are no words that can express my gratitude for everything I have learned in this micromaster and I want to share my experience. I have started to learn cybersecurity out of curiosity, because I am looking for my first job. I have never thought that I would love cybersecurity and achieve great results. It is because I have prof. Weissman as my teacher. I say have, because once you are his student, you are always his student. That is what he said to us the first time he started his lectures. When you are watching his lectures it feels like you are in his classroom. They are fun, engaging, easy to understand, up to date ... I have enjoyed both of prof. Weissman’s classes tremendously. If you have a problem or don’t understand lectures or activities you can contact prof. Weissman in so many ways: email, LinkedIn, Skype. This is an excellent course. Take the course and follow Prof. Jonathan S. Weissman onto an amazing journey of hacks, network attacks, switches, ports, routers etc... you name it!. Prof. Weissman is funny, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and his lessons are always very interesting. He also made very detailed instruction for the activity, and engaged actively with the student on the forum. What else can you ask for from a free online course that teaches one of the hottest subject of the modern world?

This course is phenomenal, the contents are really into carving the concepts on the student's minds but what really got me into this course and complete it and the idea to continue into Cybersecurity is the passion of Professor Weissman to teach and to help understand all about being aware of what's out there in the wild and how to be better protected but not only that, it also helps you in achieving other goals (I am studying for a CCENT certification exam) and the network Security course was just in a perfect timing for that. I really hope that RITx & EDX continue the efforts in providing such an amazing set of trainings; I would love to see Professor Weissman teaching about software and malware and going deeper into understanding protocols and how to detect flaws. Thank you professor Weissman and 504x's staff for making this world a better place for pinging, sniffing and securing networks! :)

The contents of this course are rich and leave no stone unturned. While completing this course i was also studying for the CompTIA Security+ exam. I passed that exam aswell. The course material in eDX's Cybersecurity Fundamentals and Network Security helped me a lot. The course taught me to be aware in real life of network vulnerabilities. I'm certain i can put the 'lessons learned' to good use in helping my company and also the SMB's we manage. As for Professor Jonathan Weissman, i really like how he teaches his knowledge to others, he does an excellent job! He can be a bit theatrical, but it really helps in absorbing all the information and enjoy doing it :) I learned loads and loads of new things and i have him and eDX to thank for! eDX is a great provider. The enthusiastic teaching of prof. Weissman is overwhelming. It is not only witty and thoughtful but strongly motivating to get active in the field of cybersecurity too. This course is about how people with criminal minds and an excellent sense of technology too, are making use of the technology that was designed for the sake of mankind. I would recommend the the instructural videos for awareness training also. Thank you prof. Weissman and RIT, NY!
