Course Description

We are at a critical inflection point in global health. We have seen improvements in access to care, but struggle to improve human health. A key component of this equation is quality of care.

Improving access to healthcare is only as useful as the quality of care provided. Many agree that quality is important – but what is it? How do we define it? How do we measure it? And most importantly, how might we make it better?

The course is designed for those who care about health and healthcare and wish to learn more about how to measure and improve that care – for themselves, for their institutions, or for their countries. Each session will be interactive and provide concrete tools that students can use. We will empower you to raise questions, propose concrete solutions, and promote change.

Praise be to ALLAH for the grace of knowledge. In fact, I consider myself very fortunate to have attended this course. I have learned a lot of things, my medical perspective has widened, my experience has increased in this very important area. Additionally, I have noticed an evolution in my handling of medical conditions, and certainly in my performance. I think this was one of the best things that I have invested my time in. It is one of my most important achievements for 2017. Thank you very much to Harvard University, for its amazing staff and for everyone who worked to make this scientific course very exciting. I am really happy to be a part of this success.

I like the topic" Quality and Safety". If we can improve Quality and Safety in all area, our life will be easier. It is hard for me to understand all the medical terms and words but I enjoy learning it.

Improving Global Health is hugely a significant step in providing answers to the world's many health problems especially in developing and low-income countries where the knowledge, skills and solutions learned from this course are desperately needed. As I watch and listened to the instructors in this course, I get more than a double dose of the knowledge and understanding needed in Global Health. They are all a wonderful blend of geniuses.

Please consider offering this course again as a Verified Certificate. I would like to purchase and complete it within a rigorous timeframe. Alternately, please consider grouping multiple global health courses within a Harvard XSeries Program. Either way, the current global demand for such courses should more than financially justify the relaunching effort. Thank you for any assistance.

Phenomenal! Quality is a critical topic thats not always covered in global health conversations. I particularly liked the moderation by Dr. Jha who brought together a lot of complex ideas under a cohesive arc
