The course content is a great preparation for college and university because I am taking university courses that are leading to a Bachelor of Arts and the same techniques for writing composition, summarizing, critiquing, evaluating, reviewing, drafting and analyzing are emphasized in Edx composition English course. I think Edx English course has the edge because the English course emphasizes how to make difficult reading easy, how to argue using premises that lead to a valid conclusion, how to write effective thesis statement, how to keep the audience in mind when writing, how to organize to get the desired effect amongst other approaches to elicit the desired effect. This English course should be mandatory for all students who are embarking on post secondary education.
