Who could ever imagine that videos with professor talking about his subject enthusiastically in front of camera and showing endless mathematical derivations could be so engaging. Professor Gadre has some kind of warm aura, which urges lazy average student like me trying his/her best not to do badly in the class. And class has a lot of points to get bad at, as mathematics there is not for the faint of heart - as stated in the prerequisites, fluency with differential and integral calculus is a must, with the couple of general results from linear algebra thrown in the blender as well. Class lost a couple of elementary topics during online transition (periodicity, lengthy power/energy integral calculations, manipulation with graphs), but fear not, as LSI systems together with Fourier analysis are studied in all its gory details. 6 hours per week might be enough for the student to grasp the concepts presented, but I assume those 6 hours are dedicated for focused self-study, minus the lecture material and practice problems. As a minus, I believe the class would benefit if more ungraded practice problems would be added. This is EE core subject after all and is mostly mathematics at its heart, so a lot of people would need much more practice to get good at it (at least I usually do need a lot of practice in my all mathematics-based classes). I will definitely join the second session of the class and want to thank professor Gadre and his teaching Staff together with IIT Bombay for making this content available for all who is interested. More EE core subjects would be highly appreciated.

I had not worked in this domain for almost my entire prior work life. I badly needed a basic course in signals and systems, to build up the foundation for me. This course fit my needs perfectly. Note that if you want to learn DSP, this is and absolute pre-requisite. While working through this course, I felt the need to take few digressions re-read and re-understand some math pre-requisite concepts like imaginary numbers, complex plane, some vector math. Khan Acedemy and betterexplained.com helped. Special Thanks to Prof. Gadre and IITB.
