Very shallow course, covering only a few basic concepts easily accessible elsewhere. The message is basically: count your calorie intake and follow the official nutritional recommandation... and that is it! Nothing about some crucial topics such as the links between diet and satiety, metabolic rate and glycemia.

A great course for people who are not already aware of basic dietary guidelines. All of the content was clearly stated and presented. As someone who has briefly studied nutrition I personally found the course to be too simple, I would have liked more in depth information into the subject. However I can see how this course could benefit many people new to nutrition.

I'm afraid I found this course very disappointing. There is nothing here that cannot easily be found on government websites. The content is very limited: one video per week, the contents of which are then repeated in text spread over several pages. The intellectual level is also very low: I don't think the concepts of weight and height really needed to be spelt out, for example. People taking this course can be expected to have a reasonable level of education, an interest in health and diet issues and, of course access to the internet. Therefore they could easily find for themselves the information provided on this course, and much more. I have taken some very good courses on Edx, but this is far and away the weakest I have found. I am happy for the people who are happy with this course, but I am definitely not one of them.

The content provided in this course covered all the outline promised, in an informative way that was both engaging and educational. The instructors were friendly in their video appearance and manner, and spoke clearly. The feedback and discussion on the discussion board provided a means of expanding on what we were taught, as well as allowing for personal opinions. The provider set out each week's work clearly, but there was a change of design part way through the course that caused a little hiccup.

The course content was well organized in the form of easy to understand written material, videos and additional references. For a complete beginner, this provides a very good start with all the technical jargon with definitions. Good examples were provided and a lot of myths were discussed together with all the science behind weight loss. Overall it is an excellent beginner level course.

Understanding the difference between a scientifically proved diet and a fad diet, together with healthy eating plans was extremely helpful for not only weight loss but also for an overall healthy and more energetic life. The course is short, easy and to the point, I am really happy that I took the course and will recommend it to others.

The course fulfilled its learning objectives and solidly covered a great introduction to weight loss and maintenance. It was practical and applicable, with good references to resources, websites and ideas. The instructors were clear and organized, although I found it disconcerting that the material they spoke about was then repeated (and extended) in the written material following. I enjoyed my experience with my first on-line course.

This course is great for beginners who want to learn about weight loss and healthy eating. The information is delivered in easy to understand segments. It could also be a useful review of the basics for people with more experience in this field.

Course exceeded expectations, was passed in a very simple and easy way to adapt with the ideas, within times well suited to be put into practice. It was interesting to know that it is well documented and from where the information comes from, so it is easy to know that it comes from consolidated studies, rather than speculation as it is common to see.
