Excellent course. Extremely informative on the basics of energy. Dr Webber is an excellent lecturer whose speaking style conveys large amounts of information clearly and succinctly. Rare talent which makes the course easier. He has also developed the most sensible style of grading for non-credit MOOC's. Instead of competitive grading, everyone is instead guaranteed 100% as long as you do the work (you have unlimited submissions on quizes until you get it right). The end result is always a positive experience. I should add that of all the MOOC's I have taken (I've completed over 10 at this point) this one had the cleverest gadgets that enhanced learning and access to information. Kudos to whoever developed those gadgets.

Mind blowing. Although an introduction, this course provides not only knowledge but also bring students to critically think about the environmental and geo-political trade-offs of each energy source. No prerequisite required to enjoy this course. Listen to Dr.Webber at 1.5x the speed for an even more surreal experience.... :-)

Excellent introduction to the energy industry. Covers energy sources, technology, global use, problems, and policy in well organized, engaging, and digestible modules. The course has helped me in my career as an engineer to understand various energy issues and systems. Relatively easy workload and definitely worthwhile. I looked forward each week to new modules.
