Building upon the introductory Mindfulness for Wellbeing Peak Performance, this course will show you how to incorporate mindfulness principles in your own life to end unproductive behaviour, ensure your brain isn’t operating in ‘default mode’ and improve your overall wellbeing.

This course is for anyone looking to learn and apply mindfulness techniques. You don’t need any past experience but learners with some experience will appreciate additional material that explores other aspects of mindfulness.

I cannot recommend this course highly enough. The Monash University course developers/presenters Craig Hassed's and Richard Chambers' calm, warm, caring, compassionate, curious, respectful and playful demeanour permeate the videos, audios and course content. This course helps us become more observant, aware and compassionate (including towards ourselves), enhancing our wellbeing, and making the world a better, kinder place. Not many courses do that!

Wonderful online course, beautifully designed. It helps us understand mindfullness more broadly and reflect on how it can be applied in all aspects of our lives. Craig and Richard are wonderful teachers and you feel a true connection through their videos and Craig's voice on the meditations is really calming a reassuring, definetly helps you be kind to yourself. I feel that there is a lot to keep learning and practicing long after finishing the course. Really recommend it. Thank you Monash University from the other side of the Southern hemisphere.

A fabulous course to gain a broader understanding of mindfulness and the world around us. It touches on so many aspects and is a fabulous way of improving our relationship with ourselves and the wider community. The tutors are extremely passionate and knowledgeable and I would highly recommend to anyone looking to live more mindfully! :-)

It's amazing to be able to access this level of teaching. Amazing teachers, resources, videos, feedback and practise exercises. The course is very well organised and each step contains material to support the topics discussed.

I have taken this course several times and cannot recommend it highly enough. The course leaders, Craig and Richard, present the course with friendly enthusiasm in a format that is not too technical and complicated with sound informative advice, a range of varying meditations to practice and a massive supply of optional extra research, information and links to other resources. The course mentors, Sherelle and Jen, provide incredible support to learners throughout the four weeks and work incredibly hard - even through their weekends - not something I have encountered with every FL course I have followed - by a long chalk! I would just say, that as recommended by the course team, for anyone with no prior knowledge or practice of mindfulness I would recommend taking the first course - Mindfulness for Well Being and Peak Performance before this one. Go for it! Enjoy! :-)

When you study a course and at almost every step are thinking – I wish I’d realised this before – that’s what it was like studying ‘Maintaining a Mindful Life’. The rich resources about mindfulness in a variety of life’s circumstances was supported by guided meditation exercises so that Mindfulness moved from the screen/page and into practice. More than anything else in the course this prompt to action, the tools for changing my practice, and by doing so changing my life, were what was most satisfying. Overall, I would not wanted to have missed a moment of this course, well done to the team who designed and delivered it.

Many thanks to educators;Graig and Richard and mentors Sherelle and Liz. This is one of my favourite courses, in which I can find lots of new practices, information every time. I take this course for the third time, as I needed more time to deepen in practices and working with the amount of information as well. The practices help me to be less tensed and be more mindful in my everyday life. The most important point this time is thinking about my values and goals.

Thank you, Sherelle, Liz, Craig, Richard, Monash Uni and Future Learn for providing yet another wonderful course on living mindfully, truly an essential life skill. Thank you as well to fellow students, who engaged with insightful comments and supported each other. Great to be part of a positive and mindful global learning community. So many gems in this course but I particularly benefited from learning the difference between empathy and compassion, and am now trying to let go of over identification by wishing well to others experiencing pain. I very much appreciated the sections of self-compassion and dealing with chronic pain, and am using this information to help cope with trauma and migraines. As someone struggling to sleep, I appreciated the 'beditation' lesson and I found the section on dealing with death really important for my own mental health. Some beautiful quotations in that section too. A suggestion for future courses mi... Thank you, Sherelle, Liz, Craig, Richard, Monash Uni and Future Learn for providing yet another wonderful course on living mindfully, truly an essential life skill. Mindfulness at its best. This course really touched on important aspects of practicing and benefiting from staying in the present moment, observing and detaching from outcome. Savoring experiences. Delving into our values and creating goals based on them. The attachments and videos were mesmerising. Great life enhancing course.

Wonderful course, anyone with an interest in Mindfulness should take it. It's the follow up to the Mindfulness for Well Being and Performance course, also by Monash university. This course gives a theoretical insight and practical advice on mindful communication & relationships (how to deal with people), self-compassion and values. The guided meditations are just great and the explanations are straightforward. The educators are extremely kind, friendly and non-judgemental. It helped me a lot and I really recommend it.

The Monash mindfulness courses have been hugely helpful to me in recovering from a sudden bereavement and coping with anxiety in particular. The course content is very accessible and the downloadable meditations helpful. I especially valued the experiences and insights of other learners.

This has been one of my favorite courses. The professors are so relaxed in their delivery that I (the student) felt enabled to learn without fear of getting it wrong. I'm hoping to repeat both mindfulness courses.

An excellent course with guided meditation exercise, diverse situational settings and references. Instructors and mentors engaged with every session of the course. Good feedback and postings from fellow course participants. It is one course where you can revisit the meditation sessions.

Excellent course with interesting material. Both the instructors were very engaging and with deep knowledge on the subject. The pace of the course was very smooth and it was easy to follow it even in days with full schedule. I would have like to see more courses like this in the future from Monash University.

As life changes, it is good to develop your self-understanding and self-regulation and to get mental habits that can help you to cope with new situations. The course has a focus on how to practise mindfulness. The theory supports and motivates to keep going.

This course is brilliant; not daunting, not too demanding and virtually immediately is perceptibly rewarding. The scope of the course is limited enough to make you not be over-awed but at the same time it allows you to branch out with the excellent and numerous references and access to other mindfulness workers and courses. Both Richard and Craig, the course instructors are clearly born teachers and make it so easy and pleasant to listen to and to learn from. The course mentors are also very responsive to comments and very clearly amplify the messages of the instructors. And a great feature of the course is the active participation of the course students and their comments - it brings you right into the forum. Highly appreciated, many thanks.

OMG - Loved this course, did the first one a few years back and this one has just reiterated my keen love for learning and passion for practising mindfulness in all areas of my life. I found both Craig and Richard easy to understand and follow the lessons and very engaging and the moderators online to be very encouraging with positive comments to keep us all focused on the task at hand. Just do it, you WILL NOT regret this course!! :D

Life changing content. Great range of materials, videos and references to related subjects and topics. Excellent providers and mentors who are extremely professional. There are opportunities to connect with the mentors other students. The mentors respond to S individually even. Can’t believe it is provided free.

Fantastic and Excellent course! I have enjoyed so much. The topics coverage were great, lots of practical exercises in meditation techniques, and the theories were very informative and interesting.
