Interest in mindfulness has grown enormously over the last few years. It’s no surprise: mindfulness techniques can improve your communication skills, relationships and emotional health. But not everyone knows how to apply mindfulness in daily life.

Building upon the introductory Mindfulness for Wellbeing Peak Performance, this course will show you how to incorporate mindfulness principles in your own life to end unproductive behaviour, ensure your brain isn’t operating in ‘default mode’ and improve your overall wellbeing.

This course is for anyone looking to learn and apply mindfulness techniques. You don’t need any past experience but learners with some experience will appreciate additional material that explores other aspects of mindfulness.

OMG - Loved this course, did the first one a few years back and this one has just reiterated my keen love for learning and passion for practising mindfulness in all areas of my life. I found both Craig and Richard easy to understand and follow the lessons and very engaging and the moderators online to be very encouraging with positive comments to keep us all focused on the task at hand. Just do it, you WILL NOT regret this course!! :D

Life changing content. Great range of materials, videos and references to related subjects and topics. Excellent providers and mentors who are extremely professional. There are opportunities to connect with the mentors other students. The mentors respond to S individually even. Can’t believe it is provided free.

Fantastic and Excellent course! I have enjoyed so much. The topics coverage were great, lots of practical exercises in meditation techniques, and the theories were very informative and interesting. Overall, I find it very beneficial to our mental and general well-being; and have learnt a great deal from this course!

Excellent! I learned a lot that I hadn't learned in toher mindfulness courses and about how mindfulness is proved to help in the majority of things overall. I highly recommend this course to everyone.

Maintaining a Mindful Life was an excellent course. I plan to take it again when they offer it in June, for a bit of positive reinforcement. I especially liked the emphasis on compassion, including self-compassion, as well as the focus on bringing mindfulness into the day to day activities and decisions of our lives. Thank you.

Thank you! I enjoyed the course a lot and it helped me immensely in my everyday life - I feel relaxed and happy and I have to cultivate more self-compassion, which would never have occurred to me if I hadn't participated in this course.

A great course! Positive approach, motivating, encouraging. For me, taking this course is already a kind of meditation. It already helps me become more aware of my sensations and emotions, which is important for relationships with others. I am going to continue my study of the subject with another FutureLearn course by the same instructors, Mindfulness for Wellbeing and Peak Performance.

Wonderful course, easy to follow. The instructors are excellent, helping us on our way with humour and stillness. Mindfulness is very much part of my life now, and I benefit from the added stillness and awareness. I've already signed on for the next course in March, updated this one for ongoing access; I also did the basic course twice.

Expanding on a previous course and giving further tools to assist in our daily walk. We are all a work in progress and need to nurture not only ourselves but this wonderful world we live in. Tutors and mentors are great. I was not able to keep up to date due to work commitments. That looses something when not discussing daily with other students. I can recommend this course.

A wonderfully life changing course headed by two inspiring lead educators , supportive mentors and an outstanding behind the scenes team. The format is easy going and uncomplicated with the content being as simple or as challenging as you want it to be. If anyone is seeking to find a gentle, informative, and instructive introduction to mindfulness away from the over-hyped up media frenzied version, then the Monash/FutureLearn courses will help you build up a strong core of meditations and practises laying the foundations of a life-long journey to mindfulness.

One of the greatest courses you'll ever take! possibly life changing. Simple and straight forward, it is something basic anyone can practice and benefit from, mindfulness is definitely one of tools in my arsenal I'll always keep close to me and I'll always use.

I can heartily recommend this course. The material is all relevant and presented in a clear, sensitive manner. The presenters and moderators are all experts in their field. They have the ability to present sometimes difficult concepts to learners with various levels of previous exposure to the subject. The care and attention of the moderators is outstanding and the level of participation of learners in the discussion is a huge plus. I know I'm not the only learner to describe this brilliant course as 'life changing'.

The course is informative and encouraging, the Instuctors engaging and empathic, the provider had done a good job via talking heads videos. I found this and their introductory course very helpful, and inspiring, and have every intention of continuing to develop a mindfulness practice, and embedding mindfulness into the minutiae of my everyday life.

I have followed this course several times and can highly recommend it. Craig and Richard, the course leaders, and mentors Jen and Sherelle, together with the rest of the team at Monash give us an insight into the concept of mindfulness and its benefits, combined with a gentle introduction to guided meditations, showing just how valuable this can be to our mental and physical wellbeing. Although it doesn't happen overnight, I can honestly say that following the course and even doing the minimum it recommends has made a significant difference to my ability to stay calm and controlled and to be generally nicer to be around with family and friends :-) I have also been particularly impressed by the fact that the team constantly try to improve and modify each new run of the course according to comments and suggestions from previous courses. Brilliant.
