Wonderful course, easy to follow. The instructors are excellent, helping us on our way with humour and stillness. Mindfulness is very much part of my life now, and I benefit from the added stillness and awareness. I've already signed on for the next course in March, updated this one for ongoing access; I also did the basic course twice.

Brilliant course! Easy pace, knowledgeable and inspiring presenters, excellent mentor support and commentary throughout. It's changed the way I work, the way I socialise, the way I am within my family and the way I relax.

Expanding on a previous course and giving further tools to assist in our daily walk. We are all a work in progress and need to nurture not only ourselves but this wonderful world we live in. Tutors and mentors are great. I was not able to keep up to date due to work commitments. That looses something when not discussing daily with other students. I can recommend this course.

A wonderfully life changing course headed by two inspiring lead educators , supportive mentors and an outstanding behind the scenes team. The format is easy going and uncomplicated with the content being as simple or as challenging as you want it to be. If anyone is seeking to find a gentle, informative, and instructive introduction to mindfulness away from the over-hyped up media frenzied version, then the Monash/FutureLearn courses will help you build up a strong core of meditations and practises laying the foundations of a life-long journey to mindfulness.

It was a great introduction to the topic and helped to take the first steps towards a more mindful life. It gets into various aspects of the topic and helped me to start a regular mindfulness practice. I do recommend the course for everyone.

One of the greatest courses you'll ever take! possibly life changing. Simple and straight forward, it is something basic anyone can practice and benefit from, mindfulness is definitely one of tools in my arsenal I'll always keep close to me and I'll always use.

I can heartily recommend this course. The material is all relevant and presented in a clear, sensitive manner. The presenters and moderators are all experts in their field. They have the ability to present sometimes difficult concepts to learners with various levels of previous exposure to the subject. The care and attention of the moderators is outstanding and the level of participation of learners in the discussion is a huge plus. I know I'm not the only learner to describe this brilliant course as 'life changing'.

The course is informative and encouraging, the Instuctors engaging and empathic, the provider had done a good job via talking heads videos. I found this and their introductory course very helpful, and inspiring, and have every intention of continuing to develop a mindfulness practice, and embedding mindfulness into the minutiae of my everyday life.

I have followed this course several times and can highly recommend it. Craig and Richard, the course leaders, and mentors Jen and Sherelle, together with the rest of the team at Monash give us an insight into the concept of mindfulness and its benefits, combined with a gentle introduction to guided meditations, showing just how valuable this can be to our mental and physical wellbeing. Although it doesn't happen overnight, I can honestly say that following the course and even doing the minimum it recommends has made a significant difference to my ability to stay calm and controlled and to be generally nicer to be around with family and friends :-) I have also been particularly impressed by the fact that the team constantly try to improve and modify each new run of the course according to comments and suggestions from previous courses. Brilliant.

This is an outstanding MOOC - absolutely high class. Excellent facilitators, highly engaged and presenting live what they teach - mindfulness, compassion, loving kindness. The discussion forums were very useful. Extremely well presented contents in videos, readings and exercises. Planning to take the course again asap.

This course is simply outstanding; inspiring, challenging, empowering. The facilitators are engaging and the topics covered are compelling. Of particular value is the Forum where students can share insights and experiences with each other and be guided by two outstanding Mentors. Absolutely first class throughout. Highly recommended.

Very good MOOC - it's the first one I've done. The Course facilitators were very good - knowledgeable but relaxed in their delivery. It was good to have separate pages for each stage of the course and to know where you were in progressing through each week. I've been able to start applying mindful approaches in my work which is excellent as that was the reason for doing the course. I would recommend it.

Excellent course covering both practical exercises, with example meditations, and the theory - including neuroscientific - behind the techniques. It's a good idea to do the introductory course, Mindfulness for Wellbeing and Peak Performance, first, particularly for someone who is new to meditation. The best delivered on-line course I've encountered - active mentors on the discussion boards and a weekly feedback video from the main educators. I've not used any other on-line provider so I am not sure how to rate FutureLearn - they've improved their discussion boards recently but they could be better.

Weighted toward building value for presumed superior activity. Evidence of effectiveness seemed meager. Mindfulness not adequately set in the context of ethics, goals or values here. Reliance on the premise, or maybe "wish" that things "naturally" occur over a period of being "mindful" moves one toward better ethics, goals, and values felt a little "pie in the sky". Primary course benefits revolve around suspending dysfunctional default mind states. I did not take the prior course as yet. Though it was not a prerequisite, this course refers often to "what you already learned." Certainly understandable, but a better short description could assist both those continuing as review, and clarity without the prior course for others. Apparently shortened from 6 week format to 4 weeks recently.
