In Skillshare’s unique philosophy, everyone is a teacher, and everyone is a learner. Rather than a traditional lecture format, courses are offered within a global online learning community in which learners collaborate and learn by doing. Instructors are industry leaders who share their skills with anyone who wants to learn. No credits are offered. Founded by online entrepreneurs Michael Karnjanaprakorn and Malcolm Ong, Skillshare’s online “campus” was launched in April 2011. Its catalog has grown from 15 to more than 250 online courses that cover creative arts, entrepreneurship, branding and marketing, lifestyle and technology. The School of MakeOurMark, with courses in photography, illustration and tattooing, was launched in October 2013, and the School of Design went live the following month. Among the instructors who have taught courses are Seth Godin, founder of online marketing firm Yoyodyne, who teaches a class on entrepreneurship; DJ Young Guru, who leads a course on mixing and recording; and actor, writer and director James Franco, whose course focuses on screenwriting for short films. You can begin a Skillshare collaboration by taking an introductory course in a particular area to learn, for example, the fundamentals of Photoshop and expand your knowledge with a five-part, in-depth Photoshop series.

Section 2: Search For Inspiration
Like any writer, the more you read, the better you write. We'll look at ways to source quality content that motivates you to create, but doesn't take forever to find.

Section 3: Create Your Calendar Template
Lucky for you, I've done all the hard work. This class comes complete with a link to a google spreadsheet that you can immediately implement for your own content.

Section 4: Complete Calendar Details
In this section, I'll give you my best tips and tricks for using an editorial calendar to help you manage a team. I developed these techniques while managing the social media content of one of the world's biggest brands. I share my mistakes so you don't have to make them.

As you can see, editorial calendars are an essential tool to keeping your blog relevant, fresh, and interesting. Whether you're an individual trying to make a name for yourself, or a content manager leading a team — this is a class that you'll wish you had taken sooner.

Pretty good course, which would be extremely useful, if you are planning to blog professionally (or close to professionally). The course deliver the general structure of your approach and understanding of your blog, content search and planning, and job organization. The drawbacks of the course are: 1. Bad audio quality. Somehow with a pretty nice level of course editing the audio was processed (or recorded) pretty poorly, that's a big minus. 2. Some of the things are very theoretical, no feeling of reality. More practical examples of each topic would be much more convenient. In the meantime, it's still a very good course to start.

This is an excellent class, whether you're a blogging team of one or tasked with leading a company blog that consists of multiple team members. I work in user experience and content strategy and even though I took this class to help get me back into gear in my personal blog, I found things that will be useful in my day job as well. Definitely recommend this class and the instructor.

Excellent class on blogging. It's interesting and straight to the point. Just enough details to allow you to get going, without any extra fluff. I love it! I would say it is a must view if you are thinking of getting into blogging or are frustrated with your blog schedule not working the way you imagined. Thanks Andrea!

It was a very good class, Andrea teaches you how to understand your audience and set realistic goals. This was my favorite part, because I feel that is too easy to start a blog and hope for it to be a huge success immediatly, but the SMART goals are a great way to have realistic expectations about what you can do. The only thing I find a bit annoying is that the videos have a bit of echo in them, and that made watching & listening to the videos a little bit hard, specially with headphones on. Other than that, everything is great!

This was a really well organized and well taught course. Thank you, Andrea! It was a great mix of broad strokes, large concepts mixed in with necessary details. I really appreciated the additional resources for each subject/theme. Each video built on one another, and I felt that I was able to develop my material and then build on that material in the next video/class. Highly recommend!

Good start to establish a brand for a blog and plan the contents. The information though is not new and is also available if you search in Google. I love the exercises. I just wish there are more examples.

Andrea's class is perfect for the beginner blogger and those with a hefty portfolio alike. Her class sets a strong foundation for those new to blogging, but also engages the more experienced blogger in fostering a deeper understanding of blogging pillars. Her class got me motivated, organized, and has definitely made me a better blogger. I've already gained a handful of new followers that I can attribute to my improved blogging skills.

I'd recommend this class to anyone thinking of starting a blog or who is relatively new to blogging or finding themselves having trouble. I found that a lot of the initial information wasn't new to me, as I've been blogging a while and mostly know what I am doing, but that is to be expected with a class like this. I imagine it would be especially helpful to people whose blogs are a group effort or are tied to businesses. Either way, though, I learned a few key things that helped me organize my thoughts, and the Editorial Calendar template she's developed is great. She also gives prompt and kind feedback. Definitely recommended.

This class was fantastic! Andrea provides relevant information that can be applied immediately. Her metaphor's are fantastic and help resonate the information being shared. I never thought of my blog as a New Years resolution fizzling after a couple months of die hard effort! It's about consistency with great content for the best results. Kudos Skillshare and Andrea for making it a fun and enjoyable learning experience! Cheers, Janelle

Andrea is really wonderful. She explained more than I even thought possible ! It was so well-rounded and leaves you set up to begin a successful editorial calendar, and lead a team in the right direction. And the resources she links to at the end of each section are so helpful. Am looking forward to using all I have learned! Thanks!
