I wish I had more exercise to go over and practice. Especially the debit/credit (left and right). Vocabulary should be reminded in the corrector box when we get wrong answers. Sometimes the explanation doesn't match our misunderstanding.

For someone with accounting and finance background, it is more of a refresher course. I however found the course more engaging. I learnt new accounting concepts - accounting for depletion rather than depreciation

Those new to accounting will likely need a lot more help understanding the types of accounts and debits and credits. Teaching the ALE-RE method could be helpful. There is a great podcast by Jimmy Stewart that made these more clear in my mind. I like the practical application in the module.

Courses are easy to follow and informative, but I agree with the other posters: these courses would benefit immensely from a huge pile of available practice problems, company summaries and empty income statements/balance sheets to fill in. Thanks!

Great content created in an easier way to grasp complex concepts such as cost accounting, amortization and giving a manager's outlook within a business context.

Very easy to understand but still need more exercises to better practice the lessons. There is also a need to ensure that the progress is displayed in terms of percentage to allow learner to better control their pace.

This was a fantastic course! I started not knowing ANYTHING about accounting and now I can create and interpret financial statements. You just have go over the material a few times and do the SmartCases with out aids so youre forced to understand.

This course is engaging, but as someone who has no experience or prior coursework in Accounting (which, for me, is not at all intuitive), I feel like I need much more practice to reinforce these concepts. I passed it, but I still don't quite get it.

I think the format is excellent, but I could do with the option of additional exercises for furnishing the accounts. The questions could also be refreshed (and different) if I don't pass a module the first time.

Really good but the fundamentals could be tested more explicitly - it is too easy to pass without grasping the fundamentals (partly as a function of using multiple choice answers)

I will echo the others in that a little more reinforcement would be helpful. One possibility would be to show net effect to balance sheet as a review after the general ledger questions so you can better visualize which accounts are asset, liability, or equity accounts. Maybe you could add a few more questions as to which type of account you are dealing with as some of the additional account descriptions are added.

I tend to agree with my colleagues in regards to offer references. Maybe a quick recap pop-up could show up when moving the slides. That might be also because Accounting itself is not my favorite topic.

The content is put together well. I would agree though that there should be more concept reinforcement regarding the debit/credit columns. I feel like this idea was not reinforced well enough in earlier modules to use it so frequently without continuous reminding of the true definition.

I could use some more examples and exercises. There should be some sort of help to remember all the different terms. I think it's very confusing to remember the terms and therefor have to take the test more than once.

I agree with some of the comments here. I don't have a college degree and am coming into this as a beginner. It would be extremely helpful to have ledgers with headers so we can be reminded of debit vs. credit and a bit more of a deep dive into why some of these concepts seem backwards (e.g. credit cash and debit payments, etc.).

I feel like it was a good introduction, but certainly don't feel I've mastered these concepts. I need lots more practice - and it would be awesome to be able to access additional practice scenarios beyond what is here. (Also, I don't know what "Provider" means as a star rating...so I gave it 5 stars! lol)

That would be helpful if more practice with the complete journal entries. That will be even more clear if you can demonstrate where should we put those on the income statement and the balance sheet.

Comprehensive, good pace. Good to have humor to lighten the topic. I liked the approach where I was not quizzed on math, rather on concepts. Step by step introduction of depreciation, depletion and amortization was great. Before this lesson, I thought they were synonyms !!!

This a hard course, quite challenging concepts. I didn't expect so much detail. But i guess that is necessary in a business where you have to think of everything.

I would say that the content is good and the approach is way better than what is normally found in Accounting textbooks. My comment is with navigation using Smartly Android app. When I type the answers, it sometimes double typed a letter, leading to a wrong answer. Screen is also optimized well.
