Required for the next semesters if you want to take Yan Lei's database class because she asks for more than what she is teaching.

Very good subject to have an insight into databases theory. I warn though that it is quite tough to do the most challenging exercises with the limited set of commands that the background compiler uses.

I expected to learn basics and applications. Like : Clarity of goal. I want to improve the assessment and want to have much more broaden course structure for whom who like to know about the subject more. Also industrial applications and ongoing research in the field should also be the part of the course structure.
